I work in education. There is nothing in curriculum that specifically aligns with one political side or the other. I definitely present both sides. I can't speak for every teacher. I know of a teacher who goes around advocating for Trump. The problem with education stems from the rhetoric currently going around that it supports the left only. This is not true. What's worse, is that people conflate American talking points with Australia. Their system is broken and nothing like ours.

I have 2 good mates that are primary school teachers. One is an extreme lefty, and the other doesn't care for politics at all. The lefty pushes his propaganda into everything he attempts with his students, despite my attempts to explain the immoral nature and abuse of power that represents.

I too would prefer to focus on the football. Unfortunately, what's happening in America is creeping into Australia. I'm one of those people that some of the marches want to deport, purely because of my skin colour and nothing else. If not for our gun laws, I could have been a victim of the Christchurch shooter. I've said time and time again, I don't take glee in Kirk's murder. I can understand why people who have often been victim to abuse and dangerous rhetoric might. It's happened throughout history. People have died (left and right) and some have rejoiced in it, because of what they represented to those people. I'm not going to pretend that Kirk was a saint, or that I actually agreed with the guy. I was against everything he said and stood for, I just wouldn't take a gun to him because of that. What does irk me a little is moral high ground the right is attempting to take, claiming they've never said bad about people on the left who have died.

Why does a persons life need to materially or mentally alter to simply agree it isn't the place for government or sports bodies to force a belief system on anyone? Do you disagree with free will?
