The left is guilty of dehumanizing language within an echo chamber directed at anyone not in 100% lockstep with the 'woke' agenda. JK Rowling was a figurehead of the 'woke' until she criticized transgender's access to female only spaces, now she receives daily death threats. Hopefully they don't escalate to action as we've sadly seen with Kirk. Such language will always be the permission to the crazy of the world to start killing. Legacy media is the primary problem here. Their descriptions of Kirk 'as far right extremist' plus all the 'ist' and 'phobe' references, however wrong and agenda based, would eventually be the justifications the crazies needed.
You don't see anywhere near the volume of this language from right associated people. I see it within my own friendship group, left leaning mates are quick to label anyone a nazi.

Yes, his opponents, are college adults exercising their free will to approach him. His organization is afterall aimed at increasing american youth participation in politics whether they're aligned with him or not. Speaking at college campus's makes complete sense. Kirk has always maintained he's a college drop out, if smarter more educated people outwit him that's hardly a criticism.

Any clever debater will steer the direction towards their strengths, politicians at the highest level do this all time. Both left and right.

He had integrity whether you like him or not. I can easily pick a supporter of any particular demographic and label them purely for having a difference of opinion to mine. That doesn't make them a piece of shit, I've only lowered myself by an inability to present rebuttal.

I've heard so much in the last couple of days about all the horrible things he's said, yet when investigated they've always either been taken out of context or cut the quote short purely as mischaracterization. I'll be happy to consider your evidence to the contrary, if you're willing/able to provide?

For greater context me personally, i have gay relatives, it's always been something completely normal to me as far back as i can remember (im 37yo). However, I can understand other people have different views to mine and that should be respected too. Example, the pushback in football with rainbow captain armbands, or in league islander players refusing to play in rainbow jerseys. Thats the woke agenda.

Do you think it's not OK to say to people that these people are nothing to be feared, that allowing gay people to marriage won't destroy society or do you want to turn the clock back hundreds of years?

This 'woke agenda' has personally affected you how? What do you not have now that you had 10 years ago? How are you materially of mentally affected by this woke agenda? Has your life gotten worse? Do you miss the days when you could use racist slurs or bash homosexuals?

I'm genuinely interested because you're the first bloke here to have a crack at a definition.

It's interesting though how if it's a Pacific Islander, Israel Folau aside, or a French muslim, don't cop the flak for opting out of wearing rainbow. If it's some white player who doesn't state religion and just feels they don't see the need to promote this on the field, they get attacked. The left wing crowd can't make their mind up of what they want.

The immediate retort is 'this is the exact reason to promote it' or 'how precious can you be by opting out of something so simple yet important'. You then get gay social commentators who say it's gone too far and the they get attacked for siding with the enemy. Indeed these people need to be treated with absolute dignity but I think we're past the point where we need to be told they exist or it needs to be celebrated. We get it and most people will defend them when hearing other cross the line with ridicule and discrimination.

I think the listed examples are extremes and very few would condone such actions. The campaigners have gone after the wrong people. The gradual creep into organisations and daily society has become exhausting for the general citizen. That's not an invitation to reply with 'sorry for asking people to be treated humanely'

Eventually what happened was it became so intense or common that people turned on it and stop caring. This isn't just LGBT but other things like Australia Day and all the other topics in between. The average person wanted to share their thoughts only to be shouted down and ridiculed. No wonder they got offside.

As I said, you've got liberal types who are more left and then start questioning all of these and get stamped as a traitor. These are the right voices as they engage in much better dialogue and seek clarification from a range of sides.

I think he meant more moderate views are shouted down and immediately labelled as being a Nazi. These examples above here are extreme.

Was Hanson wrong in her prediction? No. Nearly every country has a parliamentarian who has said another group is going to take over demographically. We can denounce and disagree with her but she said it based on the premise of the policies at the time and they've come to fruition.

Farage isn't alone in his sentiment that the EU benefits the big players and other countries have been messed up. Not exclusively by the EU of course but I hasn't helped.

Some of the others here are to be immediately condemned as they don't constitute civil debate. Some of the names listed here at at two ends of the right spectrum and some are even off it completely. Disgusting humans.
