REVEALED: India's bold proposal to fix Australia's housing crisis - by building homes here and sending skilled and unskilled workers to help

lol could imagine how long the defects list would be.

Have you seen Australian tradesman at work? FMD. There are whole instagram accounts dedicated to calling out tradie fuckups and defective work.

That's what happens when you gut the TAFE and tradesman refuse to take on apprentices and/or young people don't want to do the work.

Ever wonder why we have a skills shortage in the first place?

In any case, 'flat pack' or modular housing is probably what we need to get over this hump we're in. If there's good QA in place then what's the issue?

Just reading that. It's the daily mail so this next bit is not surprising in the least. Probably completely made up by those flogs.

'Held a productive meeting with Australian Minister of Trade & Tourism Senator the Hon Don Farrell. Our discussions centred on finalising the second tranche of the CECA to further enhance the trade & investment ties between our nations,' he said.

However, the proposal has sparked confusion in Australia, with economist Leith van Onselen revealing to Daily Mail that he was contacted by a government source who denied any knowledge of the plan.

'I received a call from a government spokesperson who said, "[Goyal's] plan has not been raised with them",' van Onselen said.

'This is truly extraordinary stuff, assuming it is real and not merely bluster and hopium from Minister Piyush Goyal.'

Well doing fuck all isn't going to solve shit either.

In any case it's a Daily Mail article. That story is probably as genuine as a $3 bill.

its a supply and demand issue. Builders & Tradies cant keep up.

stop importing 1500 of the cunts a day and we wont have a problem.

you exaggerate your figures like you do with Hellas crowds.

It was only 150k on average per year.

Well it's 185 000 a year now the rebound from COVID is over so calm your farm.

You have a point but then you have to ask yourself who's going to pick fruit, work in aged care, work in childcare, work in cafes or restaurants or bars or do nursing because if you turned the tap off tomorrow then we'd be well and truly fucked.

Had the pleasant experience of visiting my aunty in aged care recently. 90% of the people working there are fresh off the boat.

Same as in any hospital.

And the reason for that is plain and simple no 'Australian' wants to do that work at that money.

So before you spout off about too many 'cunts' please explain who you will get to work in these jobs locals don't want to do.

I'll wait.

185,000?

1500 a day is well over 500k a year.

and for mono....

Australia’s permanent migration figures will remain at 185,000 over the 2025-26 financial year, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke has confirmed.

The figures were released on Tuesday after tens of thousands of protesters stormed Australia’s capital cities demanding migration be lowered in order to put less pressure on housing and amenities.

Sure.. depends on were you get your figures from I guess... Who really cares... I was just stabbing at a figure ... If these clowns feel like the can bully me and my family out of Australia to create some sort of pure white Australian paradise (for their NZ born leader) they are certainly welcome to try...

The lack of regulation and severly underpaid employment and training of aged care and healthcare industry is a bit of a different topic altogether I feel...

wasn't the labour government recently exposed surpassing the 185,000 number that they are telling the public?!

Data released by the ABS last Thursday showed net permanent and long-term arrivals (NPLT) in the six months to June 30 reached a record 279,460.

In the full financial year there were 457,560 arrivals, the second highest on record.

The Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) said the federal budget’s FY25 forecast for net overseas migration (NOM) of 335,000 had been exceeded by 37 per cent, or 122,560 people.

Lol. What was the population back in the 50s and 60s. If anything, as a percentage, that's more than we're taking now.

In fact fucktons more.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Mono is that one that bought up that comparison, which is stupid, you cant compare 50s to today's day and age, an under developed Australia to an over populated crisis at the moment.

if you wanna bring 1500 a day in, sure do it, but house them in alice springs.

Why is it stupid?.... Migrants arriving in the post war period were housed in Bonnegilla and other migrant settlement camps, despite the locals grumbling they didn't kick us out.... a population and housing boom followed and now, 70 years later we are still talking about "fuck off were full" because a bunch of dumb crunts think eugenics and racial purity will save Australia's economy?

We have alot of economic problems in this country, alot of people are being left behind and ALOT more are wrongly directing their anger.... You want someone to blame for low wages and high housing costs?.... Look to the Capitalist arseholes that control the finance mate.... NOT Joe Blow from India that wants to come here and raise his kids like my folks (and I presume your folks) did FFS.
