Australian news and politics.

Katter, always been a low life pollie.

Good news seeing Higgins proven the liar she is - shame it ruined someone else's career, pos this type of person.

She hasn't been proven a liar. She was found guilty of defaming Reynolds.

Lehrmann was found, on the balance of probabilities, to have raped Higgins.

They're 2 separate issues.

I'm not sure it was entirely Brittany Higgins.

I think it's her puppet master err sorry I mean husband David Sharaz who is the wrong 'un here...

Trouble seems to follow him around....

Their legal bill is estimated to be around the $2m mark.

$2,000,000 legal bill + $350,000 compensation = $2,350,000

Leaving them $50,000 from their payout. 🤭

Plus Reynolds legal bill - I suspect they have gone backwards in a big way.

Yep....

Beittany Higgins will now be the second wife David Sharaz has bankrupted

Although there is another storyline to sell....

How they managed to negotiate the compensation payout and its facilitation from the federal government so quickly?

The weird thing about Katter, and by extension regional Qld'ers in general, is they are the most vociferous anti-immigration, anti-muslim, anti-african, anti-asian people you could ever meet and yet the least likely to have any interaction with any of them.

You go out western Qld way, or shit even out past Ipswich, and it's the one big bland mono-culture.

Weirdos that are all hopped up on facebook memes.

Politician Bob Katter has threatened to punch the website Ancestry.com after it reported that he was 25% Lebanese, on his paternal grandfather’s side.

Much to the disappointment of Katter — formerly Khittar — a thorough DNA test from the popular ancestry service revealed that the senator, who plans to attend an anti-immigration march, has a multicultural background.

“Oi, how dare you! I’ve knocked out websites for saying less than that,” Katter shouted at his computer screen.

“My family has been here for 140 years! And you have the audacity to suggest one of my ancestors came here 141 years ago? I oughta sock you in your port where the sun don’t shine.”

Following the threat, the website quickly updated its results, instead identifying that Katter was actually “100% a deep-fried dipshit”.

Katter has vowed that he will address the matter by building a time machine, going back to the past, and killing his grandfather before he can migrate to Australia. Scientists curious about time paradoxes have encouraged this endeavour, and added that Katter’s views are well-suited to the past.

Later in a press conference, Katter warned that people with foreign backgrounds are dangerous: “Just today one of them threatened to punch a journalist!”

And we're giving people like this literally millions of dollars in terms of salaries, superannuation, electoral allowances and god knows what else to represent us in Parliament?

Some will disagree but I do sometimes think politics needs a whole new rethinking....

I was reading about this so called "March for Australia" in some of the papers today....

It's supposed to be a demonstration against mass migration.

Okay, I'm no economist, so I'm happy to be stood corrected, but you don't need to be an economic expert to see that like much of the 'Western World', Australia's numbers don’t add up. It's demographics are the problem here, an ageing population with too few taxpayers. As births barely replace deaths, liabilities funded from today’s taxes become harder to sustain. If the picture looks bad now, the next few years will be disastrous. Without more large scale economic migration a future of financial and fiscal crashes seem almost certain....

I know.....

We've spoken about all of this before on here but!!!

So many governments in these countries have just watched it for the last 25 years and the chickens are slowly coming home to roost. Instead of decent policies that would promote a reasonable birth rate and multiplier effect economically and socially, they went the other way and thought letting more people in without the infrastructure would save them.

Time flies and with myself nearing 40 I've observed how it's all been a lot of ad hoc fumble by policymakers and stop starting by many of those born between 1984 and 1998. The generation that was told it will flourish has been wedged and confused and has a mixed bag of results but is likely nowhere near the prosperity it was aimed for.

As the type of migrant is less economically viable, the economy and standards starts to crumble. Australia is certainly ahead of Germany. Germany's standards have crumbled due to scaring off any skilled migration and mass retirement of those with the knowledge. The rest all have low paid roles, despite being highly qualified but can't find anything in their field, act as an anchor to the local populous and spread into industries where such conduct was unthinkable 20 years ago.

I don't think that mass immigration, economic or otherwise isn't without its issues.

But these poltical demonstrations taking place across Australia this weekend are obviously being driven by an extremist element.

This has to be a concern for any right minded person regardless of your political affiliation.

I'm not particularly tribal in my poltical worldview, maybe left of centre on some issues and right of centre on others. But I cannot take extremists from either side of the spectrum or their poltics of hate.

People seem to be a bit stupid. Imagine being an immigrant to Australia and complaining about immigration.

Bob Katter is an idiot. Nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage. Everyone, except for the first Australians, are from somewhere else.
