Sign Up Now!They have a game in hand against 4 clubs - same as 8 other clubs. They have had draws against teams in 7th and 12th and wins against 9th, 10th, 11th and 13th. I've not seen anything to say that they will be there at the end of the season. Having not played against any of the top 6 you would expect them to have a decent attacking record - which they do. But In spite of who they have played, 6 teams have better defensive recordsAdelaide are the interesting one. They are undefeated and have a game in hand. A win against CCM next week will put them on equal games with MV as well as put them clear second. They have the second best attacking record in the league, but defensively they need a bit of work. That being said they haven't faced any of the in-form clubs yet this season, so the next 9 weeks could be tough, especially in January when they face Nix, MV and Auckland in consecutive weeks, who currently are the top 3 defensive sides in the comp. AU confidence would be high at the moment which can make a big difference, hard to say how far it will carry them though.
Their defence will take them a long way.I haven't watch auckland - are they any good or just gotten favourable draw?
Another thing, I'm wondering if Mariners have got their eyes on this new up and comer Gout Gout?
They are definitely good, but they are not unbeatable. They've only conceded 1 goal this season, so their defence is undeniable. However they are not punishing other clubs, and are yet to score more than 2 goals in a game. They've had a bit of a good draw. Nix games are obviously the toughest, but they also only managed to put one past SFC. Real test will be Jan 1st when the face MV.I haven't watch auckland - are they any good or just gotten favourable draw?
Barbarousis almost walked it in, their centre half was sleeping???? Only saw second half though.Their defence will take them a long way.
Their first goal conceded in 6 roundsBarbarousis almost walked it in, their centre half was sleeping???? Only saw second half though.
Nup....no mates is absolutely spot on.You've got to be joking
The Club that historically emerged from Brisbane Hollandia are already playing at Lions Stadium.Rename them Hollandia and get them to play at Lions Stadium.
The name and colours aren't the issues. It all stems from the ownership/management going back 10 years or more. This has resulted in no permanent training base, financial mismanagement which doesn't help with the perception of the organisation in the media and elsewhere (not paying bills), poor recruitment of coaches and players, an academy system that was trashed and abandoned leading to lack of talent coming through and an inability to identify talent, lack of marketing effort to connect with the community and try to build followers and crowds, and I'm sure other issues.I dont get it why Roar are in the state they're in. Brisbane seems to have everything going for it for an A=League team. Suncorp is a fantastic stadium close & walkable to the city centre, the match day/night experience is awesome with the bars and cafe;s right next door in Caxton street. There's the large metro population including Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast linked by train, Roma street station transport access nearby. Maybe make roar more relatable by reverting back to Queensland Roar and ditching the Orange for maroon??. I don't know.
Wow, thats a pretty stingy defence then.Their first goal conceded in 6 rounds
Which one, Western v Macarthur the FF, derby Friends & Family ??What crowd can we expect for the derby?
What happens with Hollandia's historical records? I know that Roar are allowed to claim it now. But can the Lions as well? If it were a split I can't see why not.The Club that historically emerged from Brisbane Hollandia are already playing at Lions Stadium.
Lions FC....
They won the Queensland NPL last season.
The A League franchise known as Brisbane Roar aren't fit to be in the mentioned in same sentence as Lions FC....
Suncorp Stadium is part of the problem. Too big for the tiny crowdsI dont get it why Roar are in the state they're in. Brisbane seems to have everything going for it for an A=League team. The Lions FC is the Queensland Lions Club and without doubt the natural recipient of the historical records. This Brisbane Roar thing isn't a football club, it's a shitty plastic franchise....What happens with Hollandia's historical records? I know that Roar are allowed to claim it now. But can the Lions as well? If it were a split I can't see why not.
