A league round 7

What is the commentator talking about when he says it's a terrific turnout for Melbourne Victory against Western this is an away game for them?. Is it somehow more difficult to get to or into AAMI park when Victory aren't the official home team ?

Bris Roar need there license revoked, They have no ambition, poor crowds for a only state club and bring absolutely sweet fk all to the league. There one of the least watched club in the A-league for TV ratings. Replace them with Sth Melbourne or another NZ club plz. Or just make the league a 12 club comp without the leeches from QLD.
Best post on the forum this week.

Mariners vs Adelaide

City vs Auckland

Perth vs jets

Games to look forward to next week

Auckland might be getting the results but I feel Melb. Victory look to be playing the best brand of football out of all teams this season.

They had complete control against Perth who offered little resistance and should won by more today and that might be what is hurting them is their inability to score more goals because their chance creation is probably the best in the league they often get into very good areas only for their finish or last pass to be missing but otherwise they play very good football.

Then there is Sydney FC...they can also play a very good brand of football only to concede too many goals and this will continue to hurt them unless they get better at their defending collectively and individually they wont improve in terms of the table, also their discipline issues is getting out of hand with another red card they look to be the most underperforming team of the season so far which is crazy considering they beat WSW twice in a matter of weeks.

I highly doubt Auckland can keep this up. Let’s see how they fare when they have to start travelling, shall we?

I agree with what you say about Victory. We have had the same issues we had under Popa… not taking our chances. But at least this season we are not conceding late goals… which in my opinion, cost us the premiers plate last season.

As for Sydney I think most of us acknowledge they have the best starting 11 on paper. But their defence is awful and so is their discipline. I know there are still 20 games to go, but they are already 7 and 9 points off the top 2. They will need to tighten up at the back to have any chance of making that up

Jury still out on Victory. One win against a top 6 team (City). a draw against 7th and wins against 8th, 10th, 12th and 13th.

None of the teams look super impressive
For me it's

Auckland
Victory
Sydney (even tho they are losing)

Mariners
City
Wellington

Adelaide

Wanderers
Western
MacArthur

Jets
Brisbane
Newcastle

Wow perth are so bad.

Just horribe. So many holes when defending. And non existat in the middle. One thing me and a german mate who were watching there could not believe was every time they had a goal kick they'd long kick to the right halfway line and it was an instant turn over. It was like school level stuff. Mustve happened on almost every goalkick.

Must be frustrating being a glory fan. Also their CB just hoofed the ball at any chance.

Adelaide are the interesting one. They are undefeated and have a game in hand. A win against CCM next week will put them on equal games with MV as well as put them clear second. They have the second best attacking record in the league, but defensively they need a bit of work. That being said they haven't faced any of the in-form clubs yet this season, so the next 9 weeks could be tough, especially in January when they face Nix, MV and Auckland in consecutive weeks, who currently are the top 3 defensive sides in the comp. AU confidence would be high at the moment which can make a big difference, hard to say how far it will carry them though.

One postive to say about MV is the bench is strong. And perhaps their best attacking player in Valupillay is out still.

Arzani was very good but same old story - always within a bee's dick of scoring
