The Australian Championship 🇦🇺🏆

I know, its proving very popular, everybody likes to put their heads between other peoples legs, some even do it for sport.

What other marvels will the Brits invent next :)
We are leaving it up to other nations to match what we have invented in world sport.

I thought head between legs would be normal for you when you used to do Greco wrestling in your younger days.

Do we think the shades of blue are too close and Marconi will be forced to play in the changed green white and red kit

Also do we think that the perception of a Sydney centric bias played on the minds of the fa when deciding whether the final would go to Sydney or Melbourne
I don't mind the green kit they occasionally wear.

The only Sydney bias claims come from that weird place down south.

though NPL isn't franchise license entry so invalid outlook by Sutho but for throwing a wide net..
TR went for the sponsership $ with a large long time entity - obvious need the $ and myself from experience being involved in another sport a main sponser does bargain for some naming rights and bargins for its worth.
I'm no fan in the background of this at this stage and await what transpires ahead.

speaking of APIA. What shit-housery.

Equal last in mid May and facing relegation. Fast forward to late November and we’ve made the Australian Championship Grand Final. This club is the true definition of a roller coaster ride.

Thank God the previous coach departed and Sinisa was brought in to fix the situation. Got us out of the relegation zone, won the Dockerty Cup (equivalent of Waratah Cup in NSW), and now rebuilt the whole squad for this competition.

Few lucky Greece has at least won one international trophy.. its hard to keep up with the Brits...

Now that we are at the conclusion of the Australian Championship,

Simple Question, has it been an overall success?

I think so. Not perfect, room for improvement, but yes there’s clearly plenty to build upon, its clearly shown there’s an appetite for a nsd and it has potential

I can just see some people pointing to Marconi's very poor crowd on the weekend. But a game at 12.30pm on a Saturday in hot weather against an overachieving minor club is not the best way to attract a crowd!

I agree with Glenardo... It depends on what the expectation was to begin with.

I was pleasantly surprised by the member federation teams that, despite not having a big lead in to it, where very competitive and both travelled well and put on decent experiences at home... A little disappointed at some of the foundation clubs who, despite having a whole year, seemed like a highs school kid doing their assignment at 2 am the night before its due.

From a South perspective it seems to have rejuvenated the fanbase and brought us, kicking and screaming, into a more professional setup from a player perspective.
