To highlight how stupid these kick off times are, the hellas crowd was the biggest of all the day games yesterday. Wellington and ccm had less!

Would have expected Hellas have more than both these teams considering it was a semi final and a match contain a local rival.

Not just directed at you, but the whole chat, and apologies if it’s been said before; Do we know are they planning on keeping the red gravel terracing, I know it’s gone behind the social club end, how about east and north terraces ? If it were updgraded into modern paved terracing it’ll a great little venue

If Lakeside was available it would definitely have been there and deservedly so. Even with 4-5k there the vibe is good. Unfortunately booked months ago by athletics. AAMI too expensive and as someone mentioned a concert is happening there during the week. FA aren't going to break the bank to hire AAMI and possibly make a loss or minimal cash in any case. Let the competition stand on its own 2 feet before we need an AAMI stadium. So next best option had to be Olympic Village. FA will at least make a dollar with a 5-6000 crowd rather than 2-3000 playing at Marconi. FA hiring fees would be similar at either venue so must go with the bigger crowd potential.
I was initially sceptical about this competition but overall it's been very enjoyable. Off course South doing so well helps but seeing various clubs around the country taking it seriously and the passion it has generated has been great. Love the 'keeping it real' aspect of this competition. Our club put it's money where it's mouth is and it's now paid off. Hopefully we can finish it off next week. After flirting with relegation mid season South's turnaround has really stunned me.

It’s a real shame that Lakeside Stadium is not available. Would have been grear to start and end the 2025 competition there.

Unfortunately we have lost two straight grand finals at Olympic Village (0-5 and 0-4), so it hasn’t been great for us.

Yes and it will be a bummer bc the marconi jersey is one of my favourites.

Imo i domt think it had to do with that as much as revenue and crowd numbers. Choice still remains odd and raises questions bc even we thought it would be in Sydney with the same frame of mind.. the final needed a better venue than the Village and vic doesnt have one when lakeside is mot available... Lakeside was the ideal and most deserving though.
