Watch him claim it in a press conference. We looked alright then didn't we?Also true. Though he switched to a 4-4-2 for 5 mins vs USA. Does that count as flexible![]()

Watch him claim it in a press conference. We looked alright then didn't we?The reaction after the goal saw a bit more urgency with passing. I'll need t have a look later and the match analysis thread may get a work out. Looking forward to Decentric's points to on O'Neill. I agree he has his good parts but I'm just disappointed after what was an amazing debut against Ecuador. Again, he played with fire that night because he had a chance after the complacency of others in midfield for too long. We need another power vacuum.
We need one of Metcalfe or McGree in the front 3, who can drop into midfield to help our 2 pivots. We get outnumbered. I don't think it's a coincidence we looked better with McGree than Metcalfe. Metcalfe had a down game but McGree looked dangerous, if still a little rusty.Basically guys like Miller and Irvine come back into the side and look at home because they're much well versed than Silvera or Balard. Popovic then feels vindicated and wants to say 'see? the guys you want aren't of the grade.' He's like the teacher giving his least favourite students the hardest examples and constantly moves the goalposts. All those debuts tonight but Devlin doesn't get on.
I think we've gone down to the 3rd and 4th tier with some of the selections but maybe it will pay off at some stage. Anyway the March squad should be much closer to the squad we take to the World Cup. Lots of players got a chance in the last 3 windows. Some have taken them, some others haven't.I would expect this as well. Although predicting things with Popa hasn't been straight forward.
I think the recent experiments have shown our second tier drop off is quite noticeable.
New take. Nothing to worry about haha.
When are we reaching out to all the football twitter luminaries to bring them to the forum.
Then again, he’s a Jets fan - they’re eternal-optimists despite themselvesIm guessing matt is sarcastic haha
You didn't see them come out of the woodwork after the Japanese win?I see the Popa fanboys bit
thrown around and I wonder what this could be referring to. I would say the best you would find is lukewarm.
So the big hitters mentioned are backs....![]()

Or a vuckIm guessing matt is sarcastic haha
I suspect Devlin will get a gig against Columbia. Popa may have seen Okon better suited against the weaker opposition and Devlin better suited against stronger opposition where his defensive attributes - still his strength despite improvements he has has made in other areas of his game - are seen as more necessary. But we shall see.Just ridiculous that Devlin isn't getting a gig but Okon-Engstler does off an adult-level professional career consisting of 4 games for Sydney FC. Almost as bad is that we've seen O'Neill almost every game for Popa, so why not try someone like Devlin instead who is smashing it and one of the best players in SPL this season for thd team sitting top. O'Neill is constantly mediocre in my opinion. Adds nothing of significance to the team.
Incredible result capping a remarkable turnaround of the wcq. This was most of what I remember seeing. It barely constitutes praise, more just states what happened. You didn't see them come out of the woodwork after the Japanese win?
