Notice the lack of spaces in behind the back 5, I recalled only twice Turkey went in behind our defence which was the shot on goal from their wing back and the cut back for the header which was their best chance.

The USA created alot of chances against Paraguay so maybe they will be better in terms of trying to get chances but ive got confidence in how we are set up defensively to stifle them.

We can finish as one of the four best third-placed sides but ideally we want to finish as high as possible which is why another win or two would be a better outcome than two draws or a draw and a loss that would lead to the group being decided on for and against.

Turks have no real striker. Spamming crosses to 1.73m Akturkoglu against Australia's defenders ain't gonna cut it.

Popa analysed them well and the players executed the game plan perfectly. They all deserve a lot of credit.

Honestly, I'd rather win this than the others just to shut the Turks up. The Turks can be shut up unlike the Americans.

If Paraguay lose to Turkey next week then they'll only be playing for pride against us though so we could give Izzo a run between the sticks instead.
