Green & Gold FC podcast

Haven’t we been saying amongst us for years when is our FA finally gonna stand up for our game and not give a toss about the outside noise and resistance !
Grow a friggin backbone.
They are hesitant scared lacking confidence.
Get your troops in order and inline ?!
Get the Feds in the picture present a united stance ?!
Rally up your devoted invested paying public.
Well after that ho hum meh performance by our current caretaker CEO on a radio station followed by that PFA outcome reported I can’t see much is going to change or improve.
Is there any chance we can start up some kind of rego player and supporter mutiny ? :)

I just watched the Football360 podcast. Fantastic listen.

I think I've complained before that we have no allies in the media to champion us. I've also said I think football sometimes has a victim mentality that holds it back.

I had a bit of a who tf is this reaction to Football360 when it appeared in my feeds. But the contents been great.

I liked the way he spoke about the game and what he wanted from the venture. Positive. Bi-Partisan. True to the audience. It's an antidote to that victim mentality and pandering there's so much of. This may be great for the game, to have someone like this fill that media void in a modern way. I hope they make a go of it.

yes Quicky agree - here here the modern way the game has lacked and I hope down to grass roots gets more mention now and then not just the Pro league - I hope they stay Independant and keep to his comment on being open good and not....
This will be tested for afterall 360 need revenue - I hope whoever becomes a major and co sponsers do not influence what is said and not in the future on certain topics.

Bang on Quicky. I too was a sceptic but now my only beef with Football360 is there are "Too many" interesting , well written articles I want to devour....

Theyve made a fantastic start and plenty of content (my most hated word in the modern parlance) to appease all strata of Aussie football... Ill be reading it with interest. Hope they can make a fist of it and be successful.

Grazor, great pod, as usual,

I'll suggest something else if that's ok. For mine, the best raw talents come from non-stop ball work at home from a young age. All the tactical and physical stuff can come later. But practising against a wall and dribbling around your backyard or local park is the best thing you can do, and it's free, fun, and in your own time. Maybe one or two coaching sessions on the basics of touch and execution, but the rest of the time you need to learn how to curl the ball around your dad's car and under the lemon tree. Non-stop experimenting and seeing what works and what doesn't without other eyes on you. I think this is a strong foundation to build on, but only speaking from personal experience in other sports. I wouldn't think there's too much of all that at the clinics and academies, I'm guessing there's a tonne of tactics, but I don't know.

I think Nicky Carle sums up the vibe I was trying to convey here:

Been going on for 20yrs.
Worse for us due our game playing 4/5 code down the line plus no synergies we crying for.
Mind you becoming a rich kids sport in a lot places ie Brazil.
They are suffering due to kids costs rising for some years as well and many those budding kids come from the poverty line families.
