Hehe yes he would stacks up the stat numbers of wonderful possessions but lacking the most important stat ! Goals and attacking football.
Yes a simple game getting ruined. Defenders clear, Midfielders create and forwards score.

Auckland winning the league is like the tree falling in a forest thing in NZ. No one cares plus I would also advise that whilst the rest of NZ is quite nice to look at Auckland is a dump.
It was actually quite a big event in NZ with street parade and it featured in all major papers and on prime news channels. Football in NZ is only getting bigger and the grand final win is part of it. Good for them

As someone who knows Auckland well, erog, I suggest that - with respect - you clearly don't. And the same re. the comment on the win. A complete misread.

Auckland will be playing in the Club World Cup next year I believe, the CEO has said the actual ALM side will be fielded.
Auckland FC are in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup which is the previous format of the Club World Cup that they used to have prior to its expansion but we don't know about the teams that have qualified for the 2029 Club World Cup yet.

Sydney tried to attack through patient and probing build ups, but in the first half, credit to Auckland, their game off the ball was very, very good. They disturbed most SFC build ups before they reached the attacking third.

What Auck chose to do with the ball when they recovered it in the possession phase, was direct football, or some impressive accelerated attacks via the left flank with the speedy Jessie Randall excelling. Very few teams playing like Auckland with the speculative high ball, long ball, looking for Cosgrove game, do well at World Cups.

What value do you feel that a foreign country brings to the Australian football ecosystem that a more deserving local team doesn't ?
