The irony is that the REAL rivalry is between Preston and Heidelberg. The reason South Melbourne are often considered the 'rival' is that Heidelberg have fewer fans (and less success) than South.

Won't happen unless it's the final.

Some Roar fans claim the club's history stretches back to the Queensland Lions because the Lions won the A-League licence. The club has occasionally leaned into that connection too, such as using the 1957 establishment date on jerseys etc.

Load of crap in my opinion, acknowledging the origins is one thing, but claiming the entire pre-2005 history as Roar's own is a stretch.

i could have sworn i heard Leichhardt oval is off limits for APIA now? maybe i am wrong.

you do realise that pre season began for a league clubs barely 3 weeks ago?

this is exactly how they've made the cup a 'level playing field' with semi pro players (who have been playing for 3-4 months and in season) vs the professional players (with all the a league clubs less than 3 weeks into pre season and some have only played 1 trial match)

people assume these matches are easy for the professional players because they are professional players and dont actually have a day job, but thats far from the case

Cmon mate, you had quality on and off the pitch. Juach has only been training for 3 weeks and Retre, Yoo, Ramazani also only started training 3-4 weeks ago.
