Not that bad a result for Olympic in all honesty considering they lost 4-0 to a mid table npl team on the weekend. Hard to tell from what I saw but the crowd could have been a lot worse too

you do realise that pre season began for a league clubs barely 3 weeks ago?

this is exactly how they've made the cup a 'level playing field' with semi pro players (who have been playing for 3-4 months and in season) vs the professional players (with all the a league clubs less than 3 weeks into pre season and some have only played 1 trial match)

people assume these matches are easy for the professional players because they are professional players and dont actually have a day job, but thats far from the case

No one is disputing that, maybe they need to get better at being fit for these kind of games because these NPL teams aren’t mugs.

Almost all Sydney teams are facing each other and Melbourne teams are facing each other. FFS.

They've got that right side around the wrong way. The bottom right with Preston and South should be in top right corner, and the Lions FC and Heidelberg corner should be bottom right. It matters regarding the home team come semi finals.

Lol two strong nsw npl representatives to knock one another out. How many times have APIA played Sydney united in the last year or so, approaching 10 times now surely with cup, league, finals, aus championship. In saying that I’ll probably still go if I can
