2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

Amber Luchtmeijer subbed on in the 71st minute for Sydney FC, replacing Abbey Lemon. Still scoreless between Sydney FC and Perth Glory in the second half.

Skye Halmarick subbed on in the 89th minute for Sydney FC, replacing Jodi Ulkekul. Still scoreless at the end of regulation time between Sydney FC and Perth Glory.

Calling it: no finals for us. No more wins or even goals this season.

Milly Cassar is absolutely not good enough. On all accounts she’s a lovely person but she is not a good player. Ante Jurić out NOW.

Sydney FC with a scoreless draw against Perth Glory in their A-League Women matchday 10 catch-up game, their second straight scoreless draw after the Big Blue earlier in the week also ended without a goal, and their third one in their last five matches. The result sees Sydney FC remain second from bottom, but they extend the gap with Western Sydney Wanderers to three points, whilst Perth Glory are eighth, moving level on 17 points with Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United but with inferior for and against.

Caley Tallon-Henniker promoted to the extended squad for Sydney FC ahead of A-League Women matchday 15 getting underway, along with Dylan Holmes finally making her return to play for Adelaide United following a bone fracture. Grace Maher returns for Melbourne Victory, as does Danella Butrus for Melbourne City. Holly McNamara is right for this week after sustaining an injury last week but Canberra United are still without Tegan Bertolissio who has either been omitted from the squad, has sustained an injury or is still serving her suspension.

Great to see four players back in action and that Holly Mac is okay. She really is tough as nails.

Is there any talk what's happening to Canberra united at the end of the season?
I think unfortunately Canberra United is likely to fold at season's end, leaving players like Michelle Heyman clubless going into season 2026-27 as Capital Football have reiterated that this will be their last season running the club and we haven't heard anything regarding investors or new ownership yet.

So fucking sad that we keep losing clubs.

Imagine if Canberra win it all though. They're fifth (so in the finals as of now) but technically equal second because second through to fifth are all on 18 points and separated by goal difference. They beat City too so they're capable of beating anyone.

Burning bridges forever if they lose Canberra. The league would be shooting themselves in the foot again.

Surely it's beneficial for the APL to fund the Canberra women for one season, and probably cheaper than propping up a men's team.

Roar 2–2 Mariners. Ashlyn Miller and Daisy Brown with goals for Brisbane, Annalise Rasmussen with a brace including a penalty for Central Coast. What a season she's having!

Canberra United's A-League Women matchday 15 game against Melbourne Victory has been postponed to Sunday, February 1st from Saturday, January 31st due to extreme heat and will now have a 2pm AEDT kickoff. It's the second game this matchday to be postponed due to extreme heat after Adelaide United's game against Melbourne City was also postponed.
