2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

Nice to see Rasmussen pushing McNamara for the golden boot, she must be taking note of adding penalties to her total as does McNamara.
I'd say the race for the Golden Boot this season is going to be close and I won't be surprised if Holly Mac ends up sharing with Annalise Rasmussen, or if one goal ends up being the difference between them, but definitely they'll surpass Michelle Heyman's total of 17 goals from season 2023-24 given that Melbourne City and Central Coast Mariners have only played 11 and 14 matches respectively.

Adelaide United defeat Melbourne City 2-1 in their game and inflict the visitors' third loss of the season courtesy of goals to Fiona Worts and Ella Tonkin in the 9th and 49th minute respectively. Melbourne City remain top of the table, but their lead has been cut to just three points, whilst Adelaide United move to second on the ladder with 20 points.
