Will you get off that kick? Atheism is the enemy, not brother Christians regardless of denomination(except for Mormons; those guys are just kooks)💡
Protestants and Catholics are not brothers in any way. Protestants are in tune, in the main, with Christianity, Catholics are only in tune with Catholicism, and their lurid dark secrets that are covered up by the Vatican.

I love you too Sutho(or would, if you weren’t such a white-supremacy apologist👀)

Let’s be clear, you are literally the only Scot I’ve ever interacted w/in my whole life to be even remotely a loathsome bawbag. Talk about letting the team down, boyo💡
Are you of colour ? Please show me where i have mentioned anyone's colour on this board.

This is our best opportunity since the missed opportunity of 2002 IMHO.
Being smack-bang in the middle of the AFL/NRL seasons, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. Had the last WC been played@ those hours here, then yeah I'd concede that.

It didn’t. I was recently called a “woke idiot” for being an atheist, verbally, not online. That surprised me!
Meh, it would've been some MAGA-sympathetic goon w/no grasp of the term's meaning. I wouldn't let it get me down too much.

My recollection (from a long time ago mind) is that the 2002 WC in the USA had very good ratings for I think Channel 9 who had the rights for it in Australia, even though Australia wasn't in it.

Do yourself a favour and don't engage with him, he seems like he thinks he knows all the rights and wrongs of the world.

That's amazing,
even in americaif you are looking at just white evangelicals 45% trumpies, 45% apolitical and 10% lefties. Atheists in America are very left wing, but thats partly because if you are a college educated person who doesn't believe in God social scientists categorize them as an atheist whereas if you are uneducated and don't believe in God they call you a none for some reason lolm so even if u are white in America there are plenty of lefty Christians and rightwinvers who dont believe in God

The ranking of teams in each group is determined by the points obtained in all group matches. If two or more teams are equal on points, the following criteria are used to determine the ranking:[97]
  1. Most points obtained in the group matches played between the teams concerned;
  2. Superior goal difference in the group matches played between the teams concerned;
  3. Most goals scored in the group matches played between the teams concerned;
If, after having applied criteria a to c, teams still had an equal ranking, criteria a to c are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams who are still level to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria d to h apply.
  1. Superior goal difference in all group matches;
  2. Most goals scored in all group matches;
  3. Highest team conduct ("fair play") score in all group matches (only one deduction can be applied to a player or team coach/official in a single match):
    • Yellow card: −1 point;
    • Indirect red card (second yellow card): −3 points;
    • Direct red card: −4 points;
    • Yellow card and direct red card: −5 points;
  4. Better position in the most recent FIFA Men's World Ranking;
  5. Better position in progressively older FIFA Men's World Rankings until teams can be separated;

Tie-breaking criteria for group stage ranking
[/th]

Playing around with England's group. Say England, Ghana and Croatia all beat Panama but then each one beats another (3 teams on 6 points) then tiebreaker two comes in and could likely be used most frequently. We have seen identical scores in Asian youth tournaments which then brings goals scored into play.

Already seeing and hoping some blowouts and draws amongst the others annuls their group having a chance at qualifying via 3rd. Saudi and Cape Verde could both end on 1 point with a draw after heavy losses to Spain and Uruguay. Hopefully Egypt, Iran and NZ draw amongst themselves for a low total. If Australia finish 3rd it'll be nervous wait for a few days.

I want Iran in R32 - very beatable at this stage. Ranking is probably a bit higher than they really deserve given their dominance in West Asia. Their current squad selection strategy favours over youth. They qualified quite easily but had many close games. Their group for the 2026 World Cup includes Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand.

There is a scenario where Japan can run into Brazil at R32. Against a early tournament complacent Brazil they could well win that. Then they could then meet Canada, Denmark and then a Portugal relying heavily on an ageing CR7 to male the final. So FIFA ranks 5, 27, 21 and 6 to make the final.
