The APL has made no bones about the fact that any expansion can and will ONLY come with a hefty license fee attached. Even the more financialy stable members of the APL cartel dont give a hoot about crowd numbers or league strength... ask CFG what they are doing about moving out of AAMI for example.

How come your MOB have not only put in several bids, but were willing to be stump up $20 mill to be part of the closed shop plastic McFranchise league?

Of course, the chances of TAS joining the proverbial fray have just taken a bodyblow thanks to the AFL getting its way(again) like the clique of spoilt brats that it is😔

Becuase we mistakenly believed (at the time) that this was the only avenue open to us to compete at the highest possible level and that the FFA was sincere in their claim of wanting what was best for ALL of football in this country... Thank Christ for WU and Macarthur in a way I suppose... and Melburne Leasure Centres Heart before that ... we dodged a massive bullet.

I hope a few Marconi fans DO make the effort to come down... Im gutted for you mate, sincerely. We'll celebrate at the Palace next year hopefully.

I mean the place is a shit hole and NOT fitting a state league match, let alone a final in any way, but its a chance to witness another chapter in this long story of ours. .

It is what it is, reality of adult life, gotta pay the bills. Have barely been able to get to any of these games so far. Hopefully next year Marconi get more Sunday games, had none this year (in the championship).

Apparently the clubs trying to get a bus together, we shall see.

3 years ago, Rangers took over 100,000 to Seville for a mid-week cup final, the biggest ever travelling support outside of its own country in European football history, it can be done!
