Miller's is a better ball winner and the biggest physical presence as RWB.All very valid points but I'd expect after a number of caps, a player would be very stable at international level. If someone still looks lost or isn't performing well then we need to try others. We've seen it already that Toure, Balard and Bos are of the grade and more.
I can see O'Neill's value but my gripe is still and over reliance on him and using Miller, the worst technically able football in a long time, as our main path of attack.
I think many foreign coaches would come in and drop Miller immediately.
If any opposition bully our W Right Wing Backs, or right sided forwards when Miller plays or comes on as a sub, Miller nullifies bullies! He is immensely strong and uses his body superbly in physical clashes.
The opposing bullies then tend to get upset with Miller outmuscling them, and lose concentration as they get annoyed with the Blackburn player!
Miller has aerial power at attacking and defensive set pieces too.
Miller is one player who has played in Scotland and is performing for the Aus national team effectively. I know he is now a Blackburn player in English Champ - now a much more technical league.
Another CB I'm delighted got a start is Trewin. He can also play DM.
I think Trewin is the best technician Aus has on the ball of all the CBs we have for selection, along with Circati. It is positional play, and 1v1 defending against rugged forwards where Trewein needs to be tested internationally.
Trewin also thinks quickly and at AL and ACL level has good game sense.
He has extremely fast handling speed, and is very two footed.
Re O'Neill, he is our experienced DM.
He wins a lot of hard balls, and with his greater experience tends to make more intercepts from good reading of play than our other DMs - bar none.
Grazor noted it was Neill's timely intercept against Japan B, that created the brilliant McGree assist for Behich to bury Japan.
O'Neill is two footed and a good passer. O'Neill and Okon Jr ( with more experience) could be a terrific DM combo, although Balard and Yazbek are doing well too.
