We do embrace the Australian way, we have since we arrived in this country regardless of our politics being left or right.

Yes, this country was a better way to live and a safer place to bring up our children, but not anymore, Australia has become unrecognizable and we all know why, as much as people want to walk around with cotton wool on their eyes.

The way I look at it is, you got a labor government who royally fucked this country, the liberals keep fucking each other and have been a basket case since covid, so what's the Alternative? One Nation. Do i think she will get in power, no. Do i think she can get enough seats to make a change? no idea.

Maybe the whole world has turned to shit, but Australia STILL is a paradise compared to vast chunks of the rest of it.. And no Im not talking about you or me going back to the motherland on holidays with dollars falling out of our pockets and living large, thats always going to be amazing, but the locals in both our countries are scratching in the dirt to survive. Yes part of that has to do to the floods of middle eastern and African migrants bit it is NOT the only reason...

Beretta is saying no different to what more than half the people we sat with at Lakeside yesterday would say mate... There is value in pining for something we have lost I just dont think blaming the "newbies" is the right thing to do OR the fair thing to do.. And damned if I let anyone tell me what Australia means to me and my family...

As for the Sharkman... hes the "hardman" type, $3 in his pocket but a staunch anti-Communist in case someone steals those $3 dollars.

That's the biggest issue for me. Some within those communities came to Australia to break free and are fine. The issue is some have been allowed in who totally reject out way of life and law. They need to go. The rub our noses in it and as their numbers strengthen, those within that community who see it differently will be turned on.

In turn, dumping thousands on people on student visas to deliver food isn't a good thing either. You can argue the Vietnamese were very foreign to our culture but they embraced the opportunity for a new life and it's gone well.

India has brought in an immense number of professionals and they are net contributors but companies have to get back to training and educating the local populace. We've entered this stake period where employers want the cheapest, ready made worker instead of building up over time through local education. Consultants day the former costs more in the long run but they still don't want to hear it.

It's a poor comparison due to the sheer scale of British colonisation and the difference between groups. That's not to say indigenous culture shouldn't be celebrated.
