Agreed on principle, not debating that, just that it’s proof of concept that it’s possible and something clubs can aspire toWell lets wait till they win then?

Fair enough I also see your point...Agreed on principle, not debating that, just that it’s proof of concept that it’s possible and something clubs can aspire to
And do you think Arsenal will give one fuck if they win the UCL, even though they were not champions of their country, like LFC done? What is the precedent? That you dont even have to win the GF to go to Asia? What about making the Semi final, do they get automatic entry to?
If Heidelberg does get to go to Asia the ones that would feel the most hard done by and justifiably so would be Sydney Croatia. Why didnt the FA apply for them to go?
Plan B: name the same patch of grass “Melbourne Rectangular Stadium”.AFC are a bunch of psycho's, AAMI isn't an AFC sponsor so they'll blank that shit out everywhere. They'd make them take it off the front of the stadium if they could.
Another question is, do all people of Greek and North Macedonian ancestry consider themselves as Australian?Don't you consider people of Greek or North Macedonian ancestry as Australian?
Its such a shame these attitudes still exist... hope the hate dies with you.
If they’re Australian. Not if they’re, say, American.Don't you consider people of Greek or North Macedonian ancestry as Australian?
There's no guarantee that South Melbourne will be playing in OFC Pro League again next season and even if we ended up qualifying for AFC Champions League Two we can't be playing in both competitions because the squad is too shallow to be balancing continental football across two separate confederations of vastly different standards with NPL Victoria, Dockerty Cup and Hahn Australia Cup fixtures.Imagine if South Melbourne ended up qualifying for ACL2, they'd be playing in both AFC and OFC, and doing it from a state level! That'd be one hell of a story.
It would be an amazing story!Imagine if South Melbourne ended up qualifying for ACL2, they'd be playing in both AFC and OFC, and doing it from a state level! That'd be one hell of a story.
Yes I do, but as I asked again, I thought these were Aussie clubs, not clubs south of Mount Olympus or are Cypriots.Don't you consider people of Greek or North Macedonian ancestry as Australian?
Its such a shame these attitudes still exist... hope the hate dies with you.
I believe Mono was referring to the culture of the clubs rather than their actual geographic location. “South of Mount Olympus” (the tallest mountain in Greece) would refer to parts of Greece that aren’t from Greek Macedonia, while Cypriots would refer to Greek Cypriots, the Greeks that live in Cyprus (or perhaps Turkish Cypriots, the Turks of Cyprus). Obviously the clubs themselves are located in Melbourne, Sydney, et cetera, however.Yes I do, but as I asked again, I thought these were Aussie clubs, not clubs south of Mount Olympus or are Cypriots.
Rubbish... Whats next your going to tell me with a straight face that Dunfermline should play in Europe next year if Celtic beat them in the cup final? And do you think Arsenal will give one fuck if they win the UCL, even though they were not champions of their country, like LFC done?
I do detect jealousy in your replies. But hey, you are beating Bula 4-1, levels and all that.![]()
Damn good question, and if I can answer seriously for brief moment.Another question is, do all people of Greek and North Macedonian ancestry consider themselves as Australian?
Yes, i know you do, but..............................
Yeah ok smartarse..... hahaha I meant in Australia obvs.If they’re Australian. Not if they’re, say, American.
AND STILL frozen out of the Aleague... hahahahaImagine if South Melbourne ended up qualifying for ACL2, they'd be playing in both AFC and OFC, and doing it from a state level! That'd be one hell of a story.
I think we have committed to 5 season of OFC Pro.... could be wrong though. There's no guarantee that South Melbourne will be playing in OFC Pro League again next season and even if we ended up qualifying for AFC Champions League Two we can't be playing in both competitions because the squad is too shallow to be balancing continental football across two separate confederations of vastly different standards with NPL Victoria, Dockerty Cup and Hahn Australia Cup fixtures.
So these people are Australian but the clubs they support in Australia aren't Australian??? Thats terrible mate... please stop, its 2026, do better.Yes I do, but as I asked again, I thought these were Aussie clubs, not clubs south of Mount Olympus or are Cypriots.
Dunfermline will play in Europe if they win the Final. It wasn't that long ago they would have as runners up. Under AFC rules, Heidelberg have qualified, pending meeting ground regulations.Rubbish... Whats next your going to tell me with a straight face that Dunfermline should play in Europe next year if Celtic beat them in the cup final?
Throw whatever bullshit accusations around you want, truth is we both know what's what.
Not my point. I have said this to you in the past, but most people of effnick background in NSW , do not identify as Australians, even if their parents were born here as well. Wee Segecic rings a bell.Damn good question, and if I can answer seriously for brief moment.
Don't you think that they (we) have earned the right to answer for themselves rather than be told by others what they can or can't feel?
Sorry mate, but either Im wrong or you are: Top flight (at loeast to AFC) means the Aleague.. its the FA who offered the ACL2 spot to the Australia Cup winner... but to the WINNER not runner up.... Heidelberg have qualified under FA's changed "rules" but my question is why change them for Heidelberg and NOT Sydney Croatia who wre in teh same spot a few years ago, and also why change them at all unless its to piss off the Aleague?Dunfermline will play in Europe if they win the Final. It wasn't that long ago they would have as runners up. Under AFC rules, Heidelberg have qualified, pending meeting ground regulations.
