Aussies abroad šŸŒšŸ¦˜

Croatia should cap him in a few friendly games, that way he stays there.

I highly doubt ill see him much or at all around the 1st team. Unless he goes to another level. I.e top 5 leagues in the world.
Yes, I agree, hence tongue in cheek comment in this real gem to replace Luka comment.

While I agree with most it's poor Poppa man management that has let to this, at this present moment no great lost to the Socceroos or gain for Croatia. Unless as you say he gets to next level.
At best he was squad player for Socceroos, at best.

Ryan McGowan starting for Livingston as captain in their Scottish Premiership relegation group game against St. Mirren.
Hey stats guys and gals on here, how many contemporary Oz players have captained overseas clubs? McGowan plus just off the top of my head (and Google AI's head) there's also Jackson Irvine (St Pauli), Aiden O'Neill (Standard Liege), Bailey Wright (Bristol City, Sunderland), Cam Burgess(Swansea), Martin Boyle (Hibs), Mat Ryan (Valencia ok just pre-season game!), Al Circati (Parma), Harry Souttar (Sheffield Utd, Stoke City), Cam Devlin (Hearts). Who else? I reckon that's a pretty outstanding leadership record especially for a non-European nation.

We all knew this would happen with Segecic. His heart was torn but he would’ve played for Australia if selected. Probably same with Triantis. Popa and his ā€œback in moi day ya had to foight to play for ya countryā€ might have made sense to a sh*tkicker like Popovic playing in the J league but for these guys already carving it up in Europe you can’t afford to fxck around with them. That stupid camp where he dragged Segecic all the way from Europe to sit his arse on the bench so he could watch a bunch of A league nuffies probably tilted him to the Croats. But don’t worry we snagged Suto and Karacic so it’s even stevens.šŸ™„

POPA YOU MORON!
Welcome to the forum!!!

I can’t complain about getting Fran Karačić and Ante Å uto as they’re both good players (and we need the latter for more depth up top if Mo Touré’s injured or gets subbed off). But yeah we really, really fucked up with Nektarios Triantis and did so again with Adrian Segečić. The only difference is Sega may never play for Croatia’s first team while Nektar will play for Greece’s first team (though Greece won’t make the World Cup so he may never play in a match bigger than a draw in the group stage of the Euros).

Current or also former? Men or also women?

Katrina Gorry captains West Ham and Clare Wheeler has captained Everton (she’s basically third captain). Wini Heatley used to captain NordsjƦlland till she joined Roma. Polly Doran is vice-captain for Linkƶping.

Another trick for the future is that if the players have 2 citizenship then play them right away for the last few minutes. If they are NOT then you can do like Popa did.

Im sure if we are England or at least Denmark or Sweden or Australia (2005 squad) Segecic would go back to his club and train harder waiting for the next opportunity to play for the national team. But when the value of the Socceroos is only around €50 m these younger players got big ego and got upset easily. They tend to turn their back on us if we treat them badly. They probably couldn't understand why this guy or that guy are ahead of me !!! They know we don't have much depth and losing them we will feel extremely sorry just like people on this board..
