Itā€™s not really about what I believe in relation to Triantis. If Poppa had brought him on for 30 seconds during the World Cup Qualifiers heā€™d be tied to Australia forever. Thatā€™s just a fact.

With regards to Segecic, I strongly suspect he wouldnā€™t have changed nationality if Poppa had showed him more love, but I canā€™t prove that.

Croatia should cap him in a few friendly games, that way he stays there.

I highly doubt ill see him much or at all around the 1st team. Unless he goes to another level. I.e top 5 leagues in the world.

We all knew this would happen with Segecic. His heart was torn but he wouldā€™ve played for Australia if selected. Probably same with Triantis. Popa and his ā€œback in moi day ya had to foight to play for ya countryā€ might have made sense to a sh*tkicker like Popovic playing in the J league but for these guys already carving it up in Europe you canā€™t afford to fxck around with them. That stupid camp where he dragged Segecic all the way from Europe to sit his arse on the bench so he could watch a bunch of A league nuffies probably tilted him to the Croats. But donā€™t worry we snagged Suto and Karacic so itā€™s even stevens.šŸ™„

I don't think I have ever looked forward to a Socceroo debut as much as I looked forward to Segacic's only for Popavic's ego to get in the way.

With so many less deserving players to be given a chance just to let this guy fall out because our coach was trying to prove a point just hurts.
 


After just watching the highlight of segecic and realising that we will have Matin Boyle as RW instead of him just hurt.

Matin Boyle is over 30 yo and with his current form he couldnā€™t dribble past anyone without falling.

The 1st segecic goal if it was Boyle would have gone to the stand

The 2nd goal Boyle would not have touched the ball. The ball might just roll past him.

The 3rd Boyle might have the accuracy of direction but 2x slower of ball speed with the shot. No way Boyle would/could have scored that
