Sign Up Now!We probably need more than Pasquali to get a result on Thursday. Our backline was tragic. No Eliopoulos/jankovic kills us.
That means we will have a 10 day break between the Dandenong Thunder and Dandenong City matches. This may prove to a positive outcome as players will have a chance to rest.View attachment 5904
Looks like changed from Monday to Tuesday..
Agree but we should be getting the job done against Dandenong Thunder on Saturday even with a similar lineup to the one fielded against Green Gully last week especially given that they're second from bottom in NPL Victoria and have lost four straight matches, in addition to being winless in their last five.We are going to need a massive effort on Saturday if some players are forced to play on Thursday and Friday.
exavt reason why that lineup on Sunday made no sense whatsoever! The Soloman kings game petrifies me because if we lose i have no idea what the club does with the squads next month.
Nownit very much depends on the bandaid fixes we apply and hope that it all comes good...was a good chance to get some rest in for a tired squad and we dropped the ball.If we win though we can send the reserves over to Fiji. In addition to that it would be great for our players to win in front of 10-12k people. Physically i just dont know if we are capable.

Does this mean Marco is heading over?We are missing the positioning of the centre backs and how they read the game, and we are missing the speed, pressing and general pressure of Bonada. Our attack was simply too slow on Sunday.
Ive said it a million times Pasquali and Tommy G are better on the pitch together or NOT at all.Pasquale flew out for Honiara this morning..
Ummm …. Pasquali played without Tommy against Green GullyIve said it a million times Pasquali and Tommy G are better on the pitch together or NOT at all.
Sure and played well, but he DID have two of the best CBs in the league behind him freeing him up and we mainly played balls over the top and wide.... Seb and Tommy play better as DMs TOGETHER is my point.Ummm …. Pasquali played without Tommy against Green Gully

I think they did the same with Uchida for the Thunder matchI think Marco Jankovic may already be in Honiara ahead of our match against Solomon Kings on Thursday or the graphic designers at South Melbourne just decided to use his picture as promotional material whilst he stays put ahead of the Dandenong Thunder road game Saturday.
Thats the South Melbourne brains-trust for ya, playing 4D chess but using ταβλι pieces.I think they did the same with Uchida for the Thunder match
They did. Opposition teams now don't know which South players are overseas or back in Melbourne.I think they did the same with Uchida for the Thunder match
And either do the fans... but then again we wont matter much once they have new shiny Aleague fans to fill the stands. ,They did. Opposition teams now don't know which South players are overseas or back in Melbourne.
Im not bothering even guessing anymore...lolNot sure what line up we will see tonight, given it is unknown how many South players have flown in for this fixture alone.
Assuming that Pasquali has made the trip to Honiara, I guess the Starting XI may look like this:
Charlston
Painter-Andrews
Inglese
Giannakopoulos
Gorr Burchmore
Menelaou
Leech
Pasquali
Uchida
Cocks
Swibel
