World cup 2026 Draw

3 games that arent crazy to win though i fancy we wont be favourites in any of them

Lets hope poppa has some black magic and gets us some points

Time to look at the knockouts now for me.

Should we finish 2nd in our group, we will play the runner up of Group G (Belgium, Egypt Iran, New Zealand) - big games possible there for us.

B, E, F, I, J 3rd place (depending which top 8 they are) awaits if we manage to top the group.

Should we finish 3rd and be in the top 8, the winner of either Groups E, I or K await
These matches will respectively be held in Dallas, San Francisco, and Boston/New York/Kansas City

Round of 32 essentially a 4th group game/Playoff so we need go further than that and finishing second allows that.

Paraguay should be doable. Turkey will be hard but still doable, but we'd prefer literally any of the others. The US at home will be difficult but again we could do it.

All we have to do is win a game, hope someone else loses every game or gets only one or two points and then make sure we don't concede a lot of goals. The best eight of the 12 third placed teams go through.

And breathe. After all that now I see where teams like Jordan or Uzbekistan ended up.

Think it's fair to say a lot of our group games can end in draws but France lost to Tunisia and Tunisia got goalless draw against Denmark.

Ok sorry for the super duper threads,

Turkey (assuming they win their playoff) in Vancouver on Sat 13 June

USA in Seattle on Fri 19 June.

Paraguay in San Francisco on Thurs 25 Jun

Assuming the seeds win all their groups in this:

Top the group, and we play B, E, F, I, J 3rd place (depending which top 8 they are) in San Francisco on July 1

Finish second in the group, and we play the runner up of Group G (Belgium, Egypt, Iran, New Zealand) in Dallas on June 30

Finish third in the group, and we play either:
* Germany in Boston on June 29
* France in New York on June 30
* Portugal in Kansas City on July 3

I think this is a good size World Cup. It allows for some smaller teams to make it but it's not too massive. But 64 teams is too much.

If we had 64 teams then CONMEBOL may as well scrap qualifying because they already get six of their 10 members directly through plus one through the playoffs, meaning only three teams in the entire confederation fail to qualify.

Is this correct as far as where these games are played:

"Türkiye will first host Romania in a single-elimination game on March 26, with the winner having to travel to face Slovakia or Kosovo on March 31."
