Sign Up Now!AI will hopefully have positive effects for medicine. I can imagine though 'after scanning his heart and detecting some anomalies, this can only be attributed to the patient's profile which states 'Socceroos supporter'.
I can imagine very poor examples where you'll have someone as white as a ghost and the AI spits out 'Due to the West African genetics in the patient (don't we all have this?) the patient has a much higher likelihood of said medical issue.
yer sure sure I'll give it a go......
Muz, do you agree as each tech advancement comes along many many people just won't be using whats between their ears ?
I suppose thats where MAN/WOMEN/THEY/IT is heading right so everyone will be in the same basket![]()
I'm all for helping out the countless people in need, those mega billionaires for decades could help that many times over in the past to present.Think about the benefits of deploying a robot to poor countries in the world to perform surgeries on people that would never, ever be able to be treated.
There's so many upsides.
Just as a rebuttal, and not to downplay the potential of new technology. As LFC states above, those billions of dollars spent on creating a robot army of doctors to perform surgery in Africa would be MUCH better spent shipping tonnes of food relief and farming technology to these countries.....Think about the benefits of deploying a robot to poor countries in the world to perform surgeries on people that would never, ever be able to be treated.

Moving into an age of minimal human labour and now analysis and decision making is great if it benefits ALL the world... until everyone has a place to sleep, clean water and enough food for their bellies I would focus humanities endeavours on other things.... But the mighty dollar moves all mountains it seems. Bring on AI, endless wars and the growing disparity between the haves and have nots...

Oh that he has he was a decent there but could lobby more, to Govs to his fellow trillionaires,, encourage and set up a Global Fund and assign people who actually will make sure where the $ goes and people see the benefits, be it infrastructure/food/hospitals/schoolong/water in very remore areas for eg.Amazingly the billionaire that gets the most grief is Gates. Just about the only tech bro' putting his hundreds of billions to good use.
