As far as i'm aware, no, someone elseAvondale buy out?
Good stuff, not my team, but I'd rather they come back and survive. As far as i'm aware, no, someone else
Absolutely. If they had Ironbark fields from the beginning and construction of the proper stadium was well underway, the support would be there. It all comes down to that promise of the club-owned stadium. There is/was a much bigger supporter base than it appeared on screen. Many people had adopted the lets-wait-and-see approach. They weren't going to go all in until that stadium was built. Sure enough, they were right to be cautious.Does Western United have the ability to attract a solid supporter base if done properly?
If the housing development goes ahead and they build the 5 thousand or so houses in the area or whatever the number is, they would pretty much have a captive audience whithin walking distance with no oither entertainment or sporting options.. whether the new migrants chose to gel with the club is entirely up to WU engage with the locals... Its a long wait till their catchment area population actually exists though, I would say 5-10 years.Does Western United have the ability to attract a solid supporter base if done properly?
Property developer of some sort I guess? As far as i'm aware, no, someone else
I don't know exactly who but i would guess either that or a similar group/same group as who tried to take over last month (johnson controls). If it was avondale it would have broken everywhere by now. Horvat and co still involved though so thats interestingProperty developer of some sort I guess?
I was going to post it but wasn't sure if it was appropriate.I am surprised no one has decided to post the latest news about Jason Sourasis.
Well, here it is ....

The Collingwood player alleges Jason Sourasis, who helmed A-League club Western United before its collapse, misappropriated more than $2 million over a decade.www.abc.net.au
Don't forget the "other" failed AFL-Soccer club Carlton SC.... Or the new "owners" of Newcastle ..AFL-Collingwood-WU-Soccer failure....anyone else seeing the pattern here?
Check Pendlebury's accounts for a $2.5m influx from an unnamed source please.
Yes, this should have gone in the conspiracy thread - if I was being serious.

Is it just Bisetto or more?Don't forget the "other" failed AFL-Soccer club Carlton SC.... Or the new "owners" of Newcastle ..
NEVER forget these names ....

Sticca was involved heavily with Carlton AND Sydney FC start up... Horvat, despite being a treasured son of Melbourne Croatia didnt show them any sympathy.. Interesting that both Zinni and Bissetto have sons at NPL VIC clubs they arent a part ofIs it just Bisetto or more?

Pendlebury manager to step aside as dreams of soccer stadium go up in smoke
Embattled sporting entrepreneur Jason Sourasis has been shut out of any involvement in the A-League soccer team Western United and its stadium development project.www.theage.com.au
AND a swimming pool, lets not forget that..... What an absolute con job.So, Western United were only given a licence because they were going to build a stadium.
Now we're going to be left with an AFL oval.
I can't begin to describe how disgusting this is.
