I have no idea what you are asking about...?
Did I miss a game somewhere?
Edit: As an aside, I never have any inside knowledge or goss on the Roar
Yeah - I looked it up when you mentioned it first and could see nothing. I checked again when Sutherlanderbear told us about the score and found the above Reddit post.I was under the impression Brisbane played Sydney behind closed doors.
| Dear Brisbane Roar members, I am coming to you today as we are set to announce our Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Ninja A-League Women fixtures this Thursday morning. There can be no hiding that the delay in the release of our season fixtures has become increasingly frustrating for both you and us as a football club. As we await the release of the fixtures, I want to update you regarding both our Men’s and Women’s programs: Ninja A-League Women It is today that I can announce that we will be relocating all Ninja A-League Women fixtures to Imperial Corp Stadium, Newmarket for the upcoming season. This decision was made for three key reasons. Firstly, we were unable to reach an agreement regarding the hire of Perry Park for the upcoming season. Secondly, the venue no longer meets all required professional standards, and following feedback from the wider playing cohort, it was deemed unsatisfactory for A-League Women’s football. As a result, the decision to move away from Perry Park was both necessary and unavoidable. And finally, Imperial Corp Stadium is an immense venue that is well and truly up to standard, offers a phenomenal atmosphere on game day along with all the amenities necessary for our women’s team and you, the fans. They deserve the most professional environment possible, and we thank Brisbane City FC for their help in this process. With two train stations within a 15-minute walk of the venue and access to buses and street parking nearby, we are confident that Imperial Corp Stadium will play home to several sold-out fixtures throughout the season. It’s important to note that at least one fixture will now be held at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe as part of a double header, following the recent schedule changes. Isuzu UTE A-League Men Across our off season, we spent a considerable amount of time with all stakeholders to produce a much-improved schedule compared last year for our Men’s team – and this was achieved. However, due to circumstances outside of our control, the updated fixtures we have now received are different. For now, whilst a small number of fixtures are worked through, the men’s team will be forced to play on the road for the month of December. We will still play ten home games at Suncorp Stadium, with three fixtures to be played at alternate venues in South East Queensland including Kayo Stadium, Redcliffe. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our Season Launch Fan Day set for October 11 in central Brisbane, six days before our first home match of the season. Regards, Kaz Patafta – Brisbane Roar Chief Executive Officer |
Agree about the 6k look.Does anyone think we need a marquee to bring back some crowds to Suncorp? It looks really bleak playing games there with only 6k people.
