Mv have promoted lots of young players. Might be a rebuilding season.

If there is a long term plan, happy for short term pain.

I think our squad lacks balance. We have an abundance of fullbacks, but not enough CB’s (keep in mind Hamill will miss most of the season with an ACL).

We have an abundance of midfielders, but not enough wingers (although Diles does like his wingers to play narrow).

We only have 3 visa players right now. We usually go in with 4, so I’m hoping we can bring in a visa player that can play as a winger, but also can also pinch hit as a striker... If Vergos gets injured and we have to rely on Jing Reec, we're in serious trouble

No word of fornoroli? I heard early on they were trying to keep him with an offer of coaching within the club on the side, but he was considering going to Perth.

Samesies..only issue is I’ve no particular faith in Diles being the guy to pull it off.

Putting our MV bias aside, it's rarely a good thing when our (relatively)young talents come home from abroad instead of continuing to tough it out at those levels. A 3-year deal w/us effectively has the kid locked in for the best years of his career...but we'll see how it pans out I guess.

Filling our visa-player quota before season's start is a non-negotiable must, IMHO.

I still hope we get Thurgate and manage to fit him under the cap🙏🏼
Yeah fingers crossed. A few months ago I had a hunch that Victory were holding off signings until the WU thing was sorted, in the chance of being in prime position to poach their players. It was a risk, but it could pay off big time now. I'd like to think we were being clever rather than incompetent hahaha.

Will be interesting to see the boost in onfield performance of the league with one less club and the better players spread across the league. Maybe good timing too considering the average age might've been close to an all-time low.

Genreau was valued at $2m euros not long ago. Seems a decent investment.
