Not very excited with our squad at this point. Our best 3 players have left and no one knows what is going on with Nish.

We've upgraded some kids, which is very nice. But we only have 3 Visa players and an over abundance of fullbacks.

I'm not really sure what Diles is planning with this squad.

It feels like an incomplete window. I like the young players we have brought in. But it needs to be balanced with some experience. A Teague replacement is needed and a CF.

I would love Thurgate, Genreau or Nieuwenhof in midfield. Ibusuki is probably available now and I think would be a good fit.

In his interview with that booted and suited mob’s podcast, Diles talked about being patient with their signings. I took it at the time as them waiting out the western United situation, as well as having other irons in the fire. I reckon there is a very good chance we go for Thurgate.

From memory he also said that they were surprised that no offers had come in for Nish.

What is this supposed to mean?

I can't figure the Aussie player. It's not Genreau is it?

It is Genreau from the Socceroos v Argentina friendly in China in June 2023. Genreau to Melbourne Victory close to being a done deal which should be announced in the coming days.

I still hope we get Thurgate and manage to fit him under the cap🙏🏼
It'd be a powerful midfield with depth. Valadon, Genreau and Thurgate. D'Arrigo and Jelacic subs.

Mv have promoted lots of young players. Might be a rebuilding season.

If there is a long term plan, happy for short term pain.

Genreau seems to have lots of injury issues and not that many games since 2022-23 season
