Sign Up Now!I dunno, this guy was not the plan. We know there was someone else that pulled out at the last minute. We don't know if this guy was 2nd, 3rd or 10th choice. That being said, I'm happy they got someone relatively quickly. He'll have plenty of time to prepare and sign players. Like any coach, I don't really care what they have done in the past, i'll judge him on how he performs now.For mine though, appointing someone like him to an ALM head-coaching job is definitely a breath of fresh air; it's the sort of lateral thinking that the league's had an absolute dearth of for too long in my opinion.
Well I never implied he was the plan, but just the fact someone like him’s gotten the gig is a shock to the system.I dunno, this guy was not the plan. No idea. I doubt either of them would pull out at the last minute though.Incidentally, do you have any idea who was the candidate that pulled out of the running? Because if it was either Milicic or Rudan, it’s virtually proof that there is a God..
If that’s the case, his olds def raised him rightThere was the rumour they were talking to Millsy. I could definitely see someone in his position having a change of heart at the very last minute. Preserve his reputation over a slightly higher paycheck.

I wonder what the new committee will cover. While Mata is still weighing up whether he continues to play next season or not, as part of this deal, once he elects to retire on the pitch, Mata will chair a newly established football committee at the Club
Official now
Miranda had a fantastic career with us. I'll miss him but the timing here seems right.
Juan Mata to join ownership group at Melbourne Victory in landmark commitment to Australian football
It really highlights just how much of a mess WSW is. Not only did this guy deliver on the pitch he's now invested in the club. Talk about missed opportunity. When Mata signed for us almost 12 months ago, I think the goal of the club was to get him to invest… and anything he produced on the pitch was a bonus.
As if them overlooking Volpato’s talent/potential wasn’t proof enough already. It really highlights just how much of a mess WSW is.
Nduka put up a post in insta which basically implied that he was gone. I thought that’s what he meant and so did people in the commentsWeirdly the A Leagues socials saying Nduka is leaving then retracting their post, apologising and saying he isn’t leaving. Crossed wires somewhere.
I wouldn't really care if Nduka left tbh.Weirdly the A Leagues socials saying Nduka is leaving then retracting their post, apologising and saying he isn’t leaving. Crossed wires somewhere.
