The Australian Championship 🇦🇺🏆

They run their own canteen and will have it open. The food trucks around the ground will be fa run.
Will the FA allow it as the ground is under their control.

Whenever Ibrox was used for a neutral semi final, all the money went to the SFA or the SFL. We did get a hiring fee though.

I think it’s gonna make a difference on the field too, I know it’s not a “home game” but whichever team got the home city advantage would also get a massive advantage, it’ll essentially be a home game for hellas in the stands. Less than a week out youd be hard pressed to get more than 50-100 travelling fans down

Disappointing not to be at aami Park considering no aleague match that weekend
unavailable due to Kendrick Lamar being played late in the week hence why both ALM clubs in Melbourne are away next weekend + that's reason why Australian Championship final isn't allowed there either.

Im going to guess the size of Kogarah and Leichardt were deemed too big. Possible thinking being with a 11k odd capacity the Village will look half decent with 5k there.

On field i dont think we are advantaged, that ground has been our graveyard for a long time. We will have the crowd support advantage and thats about it.

Crowd will be a massive advantage imo. Maybe more pressure though. Marconi/tsekenis will likely try to turn it into a scrap.

I think Leichhardt might have been alright, compact and close to the city. It’s probably a level above Olympic village as a facility. From what I can see, it was free that day

Personally i think they should have just played it at your stadium if Lakeside wasnt available. The FA never explain why they make decisions which is infuriating. The only plausible explanation was giving South home city rights for being undefeated through to the final, i could accept that answer, but we wont hear anything.

The Marconi club has hosted many a state league final over the years, so it would have been capable of doing so. A borderline unfair home advantage though. This was always going to be a tricky call to make

Home advantage didn’t impact the locations of the semi-finals.
