For me Heidelberg is not up to scratch to host a national final, dont get me wrong a home state final is good but the place is a bit of an eye sore and has limited seating. It does however fit a large crowd. If Heidelberg is chosen over Sydney venues i can only assume its what i stated earlier which wad South accumulating the most points in the group phase and topping the group is a tiebreaker between foundation clubs.

If it is Heidelberg i guess Marconi fans can enjoy the fact that we recently lost 2 grand finals there 5-0 and 4-0 respectively lol.

Agree - Olympic Village is a dump and not worthy of an Australian Championship Grand Final.

I’m hoping there’s a slight chance of the Grand Final being held at AAMI Park. They wouldn’t need to open the whole stadium. Just one side would suffice to reduce costs.

$100,000 prize money is on offer to the Grand Final winner.

I think our crowd today was announced as just under 5k...if it was on under lights now easily an extra 2-3k.

Massive win today at Lakeside. Was an amazing performance by the team. We maintained possession and never looked overwhelmed by Heidelberg. We matched it with them.

Aguek - one touch one goal. Super sub by the South coach.

Apparently Marconi kits sold out today at the match, again, good to see so much club merchandise in the stands this season. I think it’s fair to say the retro kits and I’d say also a return to the more traditional club crest have been a marketing success. Goes to show what leveraging/embracing history and tradition can do for a clubs brand when done properly. I think Marconi have struck this balance well.

So unlucky that lakeside is unavailable. I’m sure there will be people who find a way to travel, but it is very short notice to organise logistics, flights etc which will probably put a cap on the number who can. You’re already looking at over $500 minimum return for flights and probably more than that

AFAIA, the FA hire the ground and keep all the revenue. Heidelberg won't get a bean as they don't own the ground.
