Summer of Cricket thread

your one - you weren't alone but no worries.
Traditionally we've always picked a spinner.
Mate - I get time to pick a younger but @ 38yrs not old for spinner imo, @ home tracks he's a shoe in for me.

I’m worried about team renewal. Kuhnemann outbowled Lyon in SL Test series. But Kuh has played little recent red ball cricket - instead playing white ball.

GOAT bowling well in Adelaide though.
 
Don’t know about others, but Cricket Tas Members dislike Jim Maxwell as ABC host intensely. He hates Tasmania and Tas cricket, since Neville Oliver supplanted him as head ABC cricket host for a while.

We thinks JM drones on with his inane opinions - when he is supposed to be posing questions to his expert guests - Tuffers. Aggers, Boof and Stuart Clark.

Maxwell has no pro cricket background - playing or coaching.

All are very happy with rest of ABC panel.

In the first Test Aus were lucky to win. Head's innings papered over the cracks.

Neser bowled extremely well in Brisbane to be dropped. Particularly because he has a FC batting average of 28 too. To take 1 or 2 wickets in the first innings, then 5 in the second, and to be dropped, is astonishing!

He is as bloody stale as last weeks bread. Monotone and a touch arrogant. Must be ancient as he been with Aunty for what must be decades.

Yes because he has bowled trash this match. I have always maintained if he is not swinging the leather he can leak runs as he is not accurate. Reason he will never be one of our greats in my eyes.

well flip this outlook that ofcourse you always need to prepare for the future.
Warnies 2nd last game @ 37 was Ashs BDay Test 5/39 - then Syd was his last game, got his 1000th international wicket, knocked 71runs 1st innings for eg.
Why would not play GOATS.
The young ones will get their time.

Now can we please get Brook out ?! his strike rate is not too bad as well.
 
What a short spell from Cam Green. Inglis you are a keeper, sh've taken that, betting Green is taking it as very little escapes the 'albatross' in the gully..

There is Warne and then day lite LFC. He is our GOAT, no question. Lyon has had a good career time to step away and let the next gen take the reins.

true true Richie, I actually was surprised D quoted Lyon as a GOAT ???????
For he said Goat bowling well in Adelaide.
I'd never consider Lyon was exactely that despite his sound career.
Hence quoting about the GOAT - you play them till they decide to pull up stumps - bugga the young fellas :)
