177 is even above my expectations. Poms now looking down the barrel, but not counting my chickens just yet as this is a tame pink Test pitch, even after sunset. Boland, Neser and specially Doggett are gonna have to step up and play their part.

we will need every run of that lead if the pitch plays like this throughout England's innings!

reminds me of warnes last ashes where he averaged 45 with the bat and dominated with the ball and nearly won single handedly
 
We need to tigthen up our bowling.

The ball doesn't seem to be swinging it isn't a typicsl pink ball test.

I csn't remember seeing a Brisbane pitch this flat.

Hopefuily our bowlers have a team meeting and we bowl tighter in the last session.

I now think that we might regret leaving Lyon out, the pitch and conditions are not what we expected.

Could go on forever if teams dig in but I wouldn't mind some provision that draws aren't permitted provided the weather is good. Most matches end within the given time but if a certain amount of time is lost then a draw may be allowed while letting certain classics have a 6th day would be worth it.

Grest adjustment btnour bowlers, keep it tight and sooner or later the pitch does something unexpected.
 
Been in transit Riyadh to Dubai and when flying emirates they provide live tv including some sport channels !
I was looking forward on some sleep catch up and channel surfing to my surprise and pleasure was Brisbane live !
I was rapted was watching Starcs batting innings.
What a tailwind batsman and utter thorn on the Poms enjoyed watching !
He’ll be tired bowling tonight but I expect his class to come through for us so as they gain much of a lead I see trailing by 62.
Need to get Root sooner than later or knock off the rest of partners.
