No Boycott, hardly surprising that the 'corpse with pads' was the most scathing of former players over the First Test debacle as he was the biggest stickler for putting a price on your wicket. Jimmy Anderson was that accurate guy to smother a batsman, his type come along once in a generation.
Just reading a good book about Boycott. I'll give a review when I've finished.

Chris Tremain is back bowling. Yeehah. Blues need you Tremmers.
He may have overcome his strange nerve injury finally, but shocking news is Josh Hazlewood has reportedly been ruled out of the rest of the Ashes. An original minor hamstring strain is now so bad he will miss five Test matches. Dont you rest the leg with this injury so how has it worsened??

" BRAINLESS BATTING and BOWLING" Pommie press tearing strips off Stokes and his meek men. He may be lucky to keep his job if they face a series thrashing.
One of the highlights of the Ashes is reading the English media - when they lose!

I've found Henry Blowfield's Youtube video, with an analysis of the Perth Test. He is quite a card, and a good laugh!

I also like reading or viewing Geoff Boycott - when they lose.

More of the English media is pay only these days - like here.

Oh no!

Is this the end for JH?

Lawrence Neil-Smith and Louis Smith in Tas Second Eleven game at Kangaroo Bay, Baggers. It starts today.

Might go along and have a look.
I have been watching the live stream mate. Great that pair have been given a chance but no Aidan O'Connor. Raf MacMillian is a good slow bowling all round prospect too, while a couple of other names unknown to me.

Aidan O'Connor has been in First Team Tas squad , Baggers.

I think he played the first Shield game at home, but wasn't in the second.

Might get on the blower to a few Cricket Tas mates and go and have a look at the Second Eleven game.

Apart from Big Bash, there is no other live top level cricket for a long time locally. Not till January, I think? I prefer Second Eleven interstate red ball cricket to BBL.

JH has been a great Test bowler!
One of our best. But I have faith that Charlie Anderson could pick up from where Josh left off as is clear CA has him in their little black book. Would you believe he has been a Blues rookie for two yrs and even now he is yet to make a Seconds side. This is a prime example of what I mean about my states useless selectors. This kid is the best bowling prospect to come out of Sydney since Pat Cummins imho.

Just saw a good podcast, free, on Youtube.

Sky had Mike Atherton, Broad and Nasser Hussain, on a free Sky podcast on YT, discussing the First Test in Perth, cricket in general, with salient differences between England and Aus playing conditions.

They all agreed driving on the up was risky in Perth. They all thought Boland bowled rubbish in the First Innings, but got his line and length right in the second dig, and bowled very well. They thought England were nuts to play bazball with their healthy lead a few overs in, in the their second innings.

I thought it was a very good podcast. They are all analytical and articulate.

They all agreed driving on the up was risky in Perth. And that Boland bowled better in his second innings.
(bumping) A bit better as those same Pom comms said that Pope, Brook and the other of Bolands three victims all perished driving at widish balls on the up that they should have left as they were never to the pitch. Imho this is due to this 'hit the ball at all costs and dont waste a scoring chance mentality' drummed into Englands current batsmen. It needs to be drummed out of them pronto.

Did you and your TC member mates go to Kangaroo Bay Oval yesterday Jon. Huge interest by me in Louis Smith, Zac Curtain, LNS, Raf MacMillan (TAS) Chris Tremain, Riley Kingsell, Brock Fitton (Blues) Imho other than Tremmers and LNS, all are exciting prospects for Aussie cricket.

Tigers in the box seat to win up in Sydney with a massive score yesterday, boosted by the three tons, the biggest Chaudary, what is his history DC?

Just heading down now, but it has started raining a bit. Typical Sydney type weather - warm and humid.

Chaudary only a recent selection. Will find out in members about his background, Baggers. He can bowl too.

May have to change that Tigers prediction as fact is they batted too long yesterday it is now day 4 so running out of time to force a result and this deck favors the bat over the ball. Then again I'd not be surprised to see a Blues collapse this morning.
