Better than a loss but the Turkey Paraguay game is crucial. Often the other group games has a surprising effect on our group. The Japan Croatia goalless draw. Ghana beating Serbia then Serbia beating Germany.

It won't be in reverse because Toure will be off when Irankunda comes on. Irankunda works well with a lot of people but isolating him as the 9 without any other outlets when Bos and Toure are off is going to really tough for him. Need Volpato to step up.

Velupillay is fast but he isn't USMNT fast. I think he will be rendered useless as well as Leckie. Toure will be isolated and all the attacks will come down the left-hand side with Bos.

I'm pretty certain Irankunda will be the 9.
 
USA with their sloendodgy defence and we choose this front line. Leckie does have the knowledge to know how to get in behind but will be mauled by the large defender and lacks the speed.

He's been given a lifeline and owes massively here. If he starts stumbling over his own feet...

Volpato will only step if up he gets on and that's looking unlikely. He's got to go all out if he gets a chance.

Only in hindsight. Okon had been rotten for weeks. Beach so raw and rose to the occasion. The onus is on the to deliver in 10 more A internationals. The Turkey game will never be taken away from them but they've got lots to do to become established. I hope it happens.

I think this lineup says it looks likely that he'll play. Without him, we won't have enough firepower to challenge the US at the end of the game, Irankunda can't do it by himself and surely Yengi isn't used as an attacking option at the end of the game. Irankunda has to be the 9 with Volpato and Metcalfe replacing Leckie and Velupillay. That much is obvious.
 
See how we go but Paraguay won't lie down regardless. Here's hoping we get it done today.

I'll take it. We'll know a lot more in 10 hours. The 4 points and +2 GD looks alright for advancement.

Tete Yengi is not going to be used as an attacking option near the end of the match for the Socceroos because he brings height which would only be good for us if we want to score from set pieces whereas Cristian Volpato brings pace and agility which are more important against a team like the United States in terms of being able to shut them down early as well as finding the back of the net from open play.
 
Why everybody taking the draw this game is winnable there no France or Argentina. Poppa can't have us sitting back we need to attack at the right times.
