Maybe Circati and Volpato... Dont hold your breath for the rest I fear.Oh well I think a decent showing especially for the younger players.
We just missing a few top top players like Egypt have, someone the team can look to for inspiration Salah/Marmoush did that.
I expect by next world cup some of these boys will be at top clubs.
Yes I started thinking would he be a good option?Absolutely NOTHING to say apart from I have a new found respect for Mulligan... He seemed much more pissed off than I was after that
Bos, Beach and Souttar (when fit) all good enough for the top leaguesMaybe Circati and Volpato... Dont hold your breath for the rest I fear.
The likes of him and Milsy have been a fresh air, I cant say the same thing for the rest of the football media who don't have the balls to ask the hard questions.Boateng talking about we need a new coach.
I think by all accounts Poppa told the players who were to take the pens and in what order if so that sounds even more concerningre the pens. Is this a coaching decision? Don't the player usually put their hands up for it. Seems to be more on the senior guys / forwards. Behich, Hrustic, Toure
fair copThe Socceroos are getting annihilated online from other countries for the penalty shootout, swapping keepers how bad Ryan was and especially having two CBs take pens.
Also getting hammered for playing boring, cowardly defensive football, just like every other game we played too.
Yeah I have read articles about it now. Seems oddI think by all accounts Poppa told the players who were to take the pens and in what order if so that sounds even more concerning
Exactly, Souttar is easily the best central defender the Socceroos have ever had, he's a boss & his distribution top class. Bos has a very high ceiling, Beach has the potential & Irankunda just needs to knuckle down & work hard.Bos, Beach and Souttar (when fit) all good enough for the top leagues
Opps add Herrinton too, he's very good.Exactly, Souttar is easily the best central defender the Socceroos have ever had, he's a boss & his distribution top class. Bos has a very high ceiling, Beach has the potential & Irankunda just needs to knuckle down & work hard.
Apparently the Italians got hammered by other countries in 2006 for their boring defensive football too ….The Socceroos are getting annihilated online from other countries for the penalty shootout, swapping keepers how bad Ryan was and especially having two CBs take pens.

IMO the main issue for Australia is a lack of skill and depth.
We went backwards in the game when our subs came on. The Egypt subs were much better and swung momentum in their favour.
And our execution in attack was fairly ordinary most of the game.
Whoever the coach is they need more talent to work with.
We do get too defensive at times, but we created enough half chances that a more skillful team would have turned into goals.
Egypt were the better side, but we are not far off the starting lineup was good, we just need better depth.
