Socceroos vs Canada/USA Oct 25

It was why I had severe reservations about Popovic being coach when Arnie left.

I always thought we needed to go down the foreign coach route again.

Irankunda, Bos played great. Just more confirmation for Popa who our actual leaders are.

ball is passed straight to Ryan and he gives them a corner
Funny how when he has a good run for the national team you're awfully quiet. Isn't a keeper's job to block the ball? What do you even want?

Had Ryan played for Victory you'd be overly biased. You've been that way with Langerak, Izzo, D'Agostino, Fornaroli, Davidson.

Should have particularly because it was a holding foul though when they play the advantage they tend not to not give them.
yes I hear you but in epl and other leagues I watch the ref once play has broken down points to the player and shows the yellow.

A window with a lot learned. Disappointing result with defence being way more spread tonight. More frantic.

With Irvine back, and izzo in place of Ryan, as well as robbo being fully fit, and perhaps the most inform from the Aleague, we could be alright

Depends on the challenge I suppose.

Directions are, that if the yellow would have been for "stopping a promising attack" (rather than for the severity of the challenge itself), that an advantage that still eventuates in the 'promising attack' means the promising attack still went ahead, and thus no yellow.

Same premise with DOGSO reds that result in a penalty (that's why you see them more given for challenges on the edge of the box, rather than inside the box).

Yeah he should gave given it.

Good pick up.

Can only assume the ref thought there wasn't as much in it as we saw from the sideline. Ref being on the other side of Irankunda.

bit of a different approach today, don't think Popa understand some players need games together to get more cohesion. I'm sorry but daggers and boyle are done at this level. I feel like Martin has lost alot of pace and as a winger that make its very tough.

Burgess not really used to having to cover so much ground he looks pretty knackered at the end. Might of been a chance to get a look at Matthews.

Nothing learned and ranking points lost.

That's all correct but only for footballing challenges which a holding foul isn't so a YC could have been given there.

Lol. It's a hard sell trying to explain all that in a game on the run.

Burgess at fault for both goals ball watching not tracking the runner. Ryan has no place in that side.

I have said when he has been good he's been good. It's just it's been rare over the years

His record speaks for itself.

You cannot tell me with a straight face he should have put that pass out for a corner

Yeah that's what I was trying to get to with 'severity' of challenge - too many words we have to explain hahaha

Watching the replays Bos should have slipped the pass left after his big run through the middle.
