I want to look everyone in the eyes and say how truly sorry I am to the mods, the admins, and every member of this forum and to whom has raised concerns with my posts.

The truth is, I let my anger and frustration get the absolute best of me. In the heat of the moment, I used this forum as a dumping ground for my feelings. I know I am not the first person to vent here out of frustration, and I know many of you have probably said things in anger that you instantly regretted. That is exactly where I am right now. I am incredibly ashamed of how I reacted.

I didn't mean to offend anyone or kick off a legal mess, but I am not going to hide behind my original intentions. The bottom line is that my words caused real headaches and stress for this community, and I hate that I did that. I have removed the posts right now to put a stop to any further trouble.

At the end of the day, my love for the club comes 1st. I never want to be the guy dragging this place down. If the mods or anyone else involved feels like the best way forward is for me to leave the forum for good, just let me know. I will step away immediately, no questions asked.
 
The day members of a club dont have the right to voice an opinion is sad sad day indeed and the beginning of the true end of the club. I warned against us seeing Sydney Olympics mismanagement as a cautionary tale and look what is happening now.

Assuming that Lampard, Eliopoulos, Mikkola, Menelaou and Lopez remain injured then the Starting XI on Thursday is:

Charlston
Giannakopoulos
Jankovic
Ramazani
Painter-Andrews
Pasquali
Retre
Yoo
Uchida
Cocks
Juach

Bench - Skapoulas, Swibel, Nkwomo

I can see Sinisa starting Giannakopoulos in defence given Lampard's absence and playing Retre in the midfield. Then he can move Giannakopoulos into the midfield after Retre comes off with 15-20 minutes remaining. Nkwomo can slip into defence.

Interesting to see how Adelaide United treat this fixture - whether they rest players or field their strongest XI to kill off the match early.

AU fielded one of their youngest ever sides in the SA NPL on the weekend. The more 'senior players' (aged between 18-20) of the normal SA NPL squad played no minutes and have been training with the first team in preparation for the match

Appreciate the insight. That makes good sense from an AUFC perspective.

I believe it's going to be a very strong AU side, theres no major injuries in the group currently (besides piersas whi is still rehabbing from ACL injuriy) - pending 1 more training session before the match.

I would not be surprised to see them line up like the below (with either goodwin or muniz on the bench)

Barnett / Kikianis / Vriends / Kitto
Duzel /Alagich
Yull / Goodwin / brazete
Anselmo

Score a couple goals early, kill the game and then bring on several kids to give the senior players more of a chance to rest for the asian champions league match in august

If AUFC is up 2-0 after 30 minutes, its pretty much game over for us. We need to either go into the halftime break level or 1-0 up at least.

AU will probably be fielding a lot of NPL players.
So not that much interest in the match.

as i said above, alot of there regular npl players did not play any minutes in the recent SA npl match against sturt. Some of the below have already made debuts for AU

tatu, crawford, phillis, garrucio, talladira, stanisic, kasumovic, nichola

i think it really depends on souths mentallity, AU have shown they are suceptible to being 'bullied' by aggresive or more physical opponents.

im not saying come out all gung ho, but they need to attack AU as much as possible. The last thing you would want is parking the bus and having players of the quality of goodwin or muniz pinging the ball around the box - you'd be asking for trouble.
 
I am expecting a strong AUFC starting XI on Thursday night. My assumption will be as yours @TheSecretScout, where AUFC looks to kill off the match early and then play the kids to see out the result.

The longer it remains level will keep us in the match increase our chances to pinch a result.

Agree - we cant park the bus against AUFC. We need to go out and win the match. Too much quality on the park for Adelaide.
