Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

Ive got a feeling this is going to be a pantsing... Only problem is I don't know who is getting fleeced..
South Melbourne should ideally be getting the job done given that we've named most of our first team squad in the playing list and the conditions in Auckland won't suit Vanuatu United as much as the tropical conditions during the circuit series did, in addition to the fact that their players will be fatigued after having to go through extra time in their playoff against Bula FC.

Jordan Swibel scores in the 17th minute to give South Melbourne a 1-0 lead early on in their OFC Pro League semi-final game against Vanuatu United. Yuki Uchida with the assist.

Swibel on fire today.

We have missed two 1 on 1 plays. We need to finish this match off with a 3rd goal before halftime. Vanuatu is a team that plays with heart and belief.

3rd goal was crazy.

Strange game, we arent playing overly well, their speed has troubled us at times, yet it should be 6-0

Depends on if they give the boys the day to recover before flying like in earlier matches of the tournament. I have a flight that arrives back at 3:30 so that would mean players nearly go straight to lakeside. In theory it could work but I doubt the club so it. Ideally the club should have moved the avondale game to Tuesday
I think we may be on the same flight...

I have been frustrated at times watching this match with some of our errors and turning the ball over to Vanuatu, and yet annoyed we are not leading 5-0. And that is the life of a Hellas supporter !

Acton has played a blinder since his mistakes.

We are physically too strong and have a ridiculous set piecd advantage over these teams. This must be how the npl teams feel when they beat our youth.
