That is correct. It is in the OFC Professional League Competition Regulations that non-Oceania member teams must self-fund their costs. The Club has done brilliantly well this year in securing $500K in government funding ($400K from Federal Government and $100K from Victorian Government). That $500K covers the costs of participating in the competition. As such, the venture into Oceania would be close to if not fully cost neutral.This is an extraordinary achievement particularly given that our team is the only team not funded by FIFA to play in this league.
Lets not forget that there are are hundreds of thousands of dollars on offer if we win on Sunday.
If we are smart and fiscally prudent, we will be financially very strong compared to the other NPL Victoria clubs.
