Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

well if its official why dont the πουτανες bother telling US about it? At least it will save me a trip out to that windswept wasteland. If they dont respect the 50 sad bastards that follow them here every week they can go and respect the 2 Hellas fans in Guadalcanal scanning the beach for WW2 souvenirs. Lets see how many memberships that will sell next year.
Im not questioning again!!!
In Sinisa (and the football department) we trust! Τέλος....

Tactically he did exactly what he had to to overcome this Gully side....may be enough for thunder game also.
OFC now lets see what Sam does with that defence bc this could all be cemented from this hub also... win vs vanuatu coupled with kings loss to auckland and a win vs kings later in week & the last round is practically irrelevent having cemented 2nd spot.

This club other than being a cult is also a master at paychological warfare it seems after the release of those photos we saw! Im now officially awaiting the release of the 'where's Bonada' book by our marketing department..

I was stunned at how few Gully fans were there. Yet I heard the Georgie chant on the YouTube telecast when they scored against Preston.
Not renowned for having much support anyway, even in their successful years.. unlike the Georgies which is the traditional maltese stronghold.

Will be a good occasion when we play George Cross.

Its a shame we just cant get any momentum as a club when it comes to the fixturing. Preston have already hosted 2 blockbuster old nsl derbies and get us in a couple of weeks, oaks got one of their bigger games against bergers last night and had Preston round 1 whilst we pretty much get peanuts until winter.

More of the same next week with Lampard included, depending how the hub rotation goes between the 2 games we may be stronger next week.

Agree - if the young boys can put in another great performance like that with Lampard included too, we have a good chance against Dandenong Thunder.

Full credit to Football Department in assembling such a good bunch of youth players. Hopefully we see 1 or 2 of them eventually step up to the senior team.

Is Skapoulas the player who did superbly against Preston last year at Lakeside? I assume so, with the leg bandage being the clue.

Sinisa will be there for the ofc game tomorrow. He was flying out today

South Melbourne women with their first loss of the season in NPLW Victoria, going down 1-0 on the road to Box Hill United. The result sees them fourth on the ladder on eight points after having played five matches, with Alamein one point behind on seven points with a game in hand, along with Melbourne Victory's NPLW side who are also level on seven points but are yet to play their matchday 5 game.

This game also doubled as the Community Shield..

Keep in mind guys our U23s are currently on top after 4 rnds with 4 wins 16 goals for and none against. So must be some serious talent who also experienced senior football last season...

Good to know. Looks like a strong U23 squad has been put together. A couple of more senior matches against bottom half teams should do them a world of good.
