Im more upset that our depth is clearly not up to scratch. That lineup had comfortable exit written all over it.
We have ALL been saying this from the get go.... i expected a lot more from that lineup, thought there was enough talent there to fight this on more even terms and for some to show they should be in blue and white... end result i only see 1 (possibly 2 players) there that can step up to the senior squad and even then at best a bench spot.

The signings brought in were supposed to have made the difference in a talent driven side, none of which had, all have been a lot less than below par to not say anything a lot more direct.

Feels like it will be one of those years where we are in pursuit of so much but probably dont end up with anything.

Absolute massive game on Friday night as 3 defeats in a row are locked in after it.

Another keeper, CB, mid, and forward (probably 2) are a must in the transfer window. Spine has to be bolstered with quality.

Tonight we saw what our 2nd stringers are all about. They only look good off the bench when the main guys have smashed the other team.

We took the Cup fixture too lightly thinking that line up would do the job. Bulleen is not Hampton East Brighton. They’ve won something like their last 4-5 matches in a row. We literally had lost the match even before kicking a ball. You don’t lose by a 3 goal margin to a team one division below you.

As others have said, our firsf team starting XI is strong, if not the strongest in the league. Our second string players are bang average. Again it highlights to me the glaring problem - we are 3-4 quality players short.

We’ve given up on a possible trophy that we actually had a genuine chance of winning. We should have played Swibel and Lopez at a minimum.

I think we have all seen enough of Singh and Shalamanov-Trenkov to know that they are at best VPL standard.

I think tonight has shown that if our second string players are very average, and some of them may travel to Auckland, then we’ll have a largely U23s team for the month of May. I might watch the 3 matches in May on YouTube and focus on the OFC Pro League on FIFA+.

Its put a lot of pressure on our senior team to bank the 3 points on Friday, up to now they've been flawless but even they are due for a hiccup...hopefully not this week!

No chance im going to the village to see the massacre in a fortnight, depending on how the squad looks im likely out until we play Hume.

Club needs to put a lot of work into transfer window if we are to make ground in June and beyond and also be ready for an Australia cup run.

Tonights game was lost on Sunday night when Pouta jumped on 3XY and said players will be loaned out mid season to lower league clubs to gain some experience playing first team football. Pretty much if I heard that I would not be putting in anymore.

The team we put out tonight arent exactly babies. A heap of them will need to be kept for squad depth. Menelaou, Leech, Inglese, Cocks etc arent going anywhere.

The game was lost because 1) Javi could have a hand tied behind his back and still be better than our backup goalies, 2) we arrogantly decided to not play a single member of our regular back four, 3) not a single player of our regular midfield either. 4) Mesourouni and Singh (LOL)

The icing on the cake was having nothing on the bench to try change the game.

We have a huge squad but it thins out quickly after our best 11.

Bulleen are in good form chasing promotion, we must have been confused and thought we were playing Yarraville.
