Absolutely not, I despise your club more then any in Victoria.

The taxpayer and ratepayer funded new stand is an egregious waste of money and it’s shocking that my rates have increased to fund such monstrosity. If only crowd numbers could justify the build but it doesn’t even come close to full capacity unless South or Heidelberg fans come in their numbers.

Secondly - you choose to open the stand against Preston, a bunch of blockhead skops instead of the Greek derby against South - in a dead rubber game. South fans would’ve respected you lot having all the politicians and suits and not caused a fuss.

No you’re stuck with the skopjani good luck to you lot. They’re planning to march through Oakleigh mall at 1.30 - which I think is blatantly a disgrace. And most of your fans will probably be late to your game and unable to stop what will happen at Eaton Mall because they’ll be at the anti immigration rally in the city. The skops will cause chaos and make you lot look like fools to the suits your aiming to impress. You lot reap what you sow.

But then again, you and heidelberg are pathetic timid clubs. Consistently playing games behind closed doors. We showed how it should be done at our boutique ground. I’m waiting for Aki and Kokki to panic and send the game behind closed doors.

Awesome..... questions for consideration:

  • Players signings how many and what positions ... if they cant reveal names yet.
  • Marketing plan for Championship ... hopefully they have thought BEYOND just the opening match?
  • Matchday experience, activation for the first match....
  • Kits for the Championship ... will we go the retro (I hope) or yet ANOTHER kit this year?... no complaints btw, having 4 differnt kits in one year has been amazing.
  • OCL submission, what is happening?

Why are Preston fans marching through Eaton mall... they can get frapedes and souvlakia at the game? Is it a "hooligans" thing? That can only lead to violence...
 
Thats a big call to march through the mall. Its pretty much a 40 min walk from the pub to the ground. Then what, do they march back to the pub to pick up cars?
 
No way they will march down the mall. From the industrial backstreets maybe.

I think it will be a miracle if this match is completed without issue. The Oakleigh "fans" on the day have no interest in soccer, Preston will take the bait and it will be on for young and old.

I reckon you are spot on... I've got money on buckets and flares being thrown from newly formed "Oakleigh Ultras" with black t-shirts... and that this will make the Channel 7 news...
 
If they are going to be marching to the ground, then I'll be parking very far away from there, they'll no doubt vandalise cars, I've seen people's cars get keyed in the parking lot before.

Unfortunately there are quite a few ex Oakleigh wog boys who never grew out of that gang mentality who will probably be there, so we're probably in for a wild day.

Yep it really is. I think it was last year, we we're in the news for a fight breaking out against Dandy thunder. The Oakleigh supporter who was involved in the brawl used to be in the Oakleigh wogs gang and clearly hasn't matured yet.
 
If this is already actually in play, then what is being done about it??

Preston should be the first to stomp this shit out as much as FV and Oakleigh if it fails at the ground... all 3 need to then be accountable with severe sanctions... put some actuall expulsion relegation threats in place and see how quickly they all comply!

Nothing major will happen in terms of sanctions. If you think back to the incident against Thunder last yr Oakleigh were allowed to set their own punishment which was 2 games behind closed doors lol. Preston will probably get something similar.

The issue will be the news coverage attached to this which will be highly damaging on the eve of the championship.

Personally if i was Oakleigh i'd have a section just for the commitee and the handful of members who go to every game, and give the rest of the ground to Preston. Nothing good can come from the "home" end when you allow the frappe drinkers to waltz in who have no interest in Oakleigh as a team.
