Anything short of a finals run will be a disaster and on this roster i dont see it.. i keep hearing about signings but my patience is running out.. it will take top dollar now to bring in players to make us competitive.

If it takes top dollar you pay top dollar. If the board and football department arent up to it then they should shut up.

Got subbed off and sat by himself 20 metres away from everyone else

Then didn’t thank the fans after the game

Yeah saw that, didn't do his cause any favours after today's performance. I heard same 3 players signed, a defender, CDM and I assume a striker for the third. No word on who they are though.

Need an AM as well. Dont think just 3 will cut it. The club needs to understand that roughly a dozen of the 16 teams in this are probably better than us as it stands.

Dissapointing to see us limp to the finish line like this, 11-0 in our last 3 games and the last 2 in particular could have been great preparation games but we chose to send our reserves out to get slaughtered last week and today we didnt see a proper game cos of the red.

Honestly don't even worry about today, it was just a dead rubber game, nothing to play for, i doubt anyone from your side even cared for the result and honestly wouldn't even surprise me if they preferred us to win just to not give Preston an advantage, but that's just my own conspiracy theory.

In a team that had constant flow from the middle to the flanks, yes! We come short in both areas. Without a genuine playmaker he will only comprise one strong flank! We now need an upgrade in the middle of the park and at striker!

We lack a Lesiotis/Yokakawa style combo from our midfield, Menelaou may be able to develop into a proper holder but he needs time and that we dont have and infront of him the MUST is a proper creater.

Yeah totally embarrassing... send him out the door... I get the frustration of being cup tied at anew club and NOT being involved in our winning cup runs but apart from the two early league appearances has done nothing of note but try tricky little dribbles... show him the door if he can't be part of the squad.... sayonara...

Menelaou had a better game on Saturday... I suspect Uchida will replace Andy as starter... but like you say we need a playmaker desperately.

AND an out and out #9 .... Bonada needs a striking partner, he does his best but we need to get hims some support up top.
 
Fair play to Siniza. Exceeded everyone’s expectations and stabilised the ship very much.

Does he deserve the main gig next season and into the so called Aus championships. No way. But his done his reputation a world of good in Victorian football and that’s good for him.

Menelaou seems to be getting the Peios treatment of last season. Don’t see him lasting at South, and his height will count against him especially when Halfpenny (his solid but don’t rate him highly) has a whole two heads on him.

Mesourouni is a charity board pick. Highly doubt his there next year anyways but embarrassing nonetheless we’re still doing this in 2025.

Some depth at left back I think is required not sold on Lampard defensively. Desperately need a striker which everyone can agree on. A number 10 and holding midfielder would help massively - the hole in the 10 has been evident since Marcus Schroen departed.

Let’s see whether the club will put up. They’ve said they won’t splash the money like the Heidelbergs, Avondale’s and Oakleighs. Unfortunately we will then find it hard to keep up with them in the league, cup comps are a diff beast.

Ps on a side note I hope Preston ruin Oakleighs unveiling of the new stand this weekend. Disgraceful that Oakleigh chose to unveil it against the skops rather then against South in an all Greek derby. I’m sure the suits and politicians will be thrilled to see the skops in their busload fill up Jack Edward’s and cause chaos in the stands. But I’ve got a feeling Oakleigh will still find a way to put it behind closed doors, ps f Monash council for giving them so much money for a new stand for a club that can’t crack 1k in attendance.
