Buy your own ground then, simple solution.

WTF is a "yeeros"???
google is your go to pal
Yeeros and gyros are the same food, a popular Greek dish of meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie. The difference is the name: "Gyros" is the Greek spelling (γύρος), but some restaurants use the phonetic spelling "yeeros" to represent the correct pronunciation, which is "yee-ros" rather than "jai-ro"

Or the F1 can go back to Adelaide... simpler solution...

Or even better, should go to Sydney, they need some internationally relevant sporting events don't they?
oh yes please I wish !
Glenardo sorted out from our perspective, we da biggest town in this outpost and the world knows it :)

Finally we can go back to 1980's style Melbourne Sydney rivalry on the soccer field!

I am being serious here ..... up until the end of the Communist era, I felt that the key soccer rivalry was between NSW (Sydney) and the rest (led by Melbourne).

But the 1991 Grand Final between South Melbourne Hellas and Melbourne Croatia changed me.

The Melbourne Croatia supporters were such poor losers that day, and I could see that they did not give one F that we were a fellow Melbourne team.

communist era here ?
SoS what if MC won that GF I bet some SMH supporters wouldn't be embracing fellow victorians right ?

Though yep the State rivalry is all there, hopefully it builds up even more next years Championship - well it will no doubt.

Sydneys already internationally relevant/recognised so it doesn’t need sporting events to try and make itself so like Melb ;)
Hahahah sure sure, you made up a horse racing event named after a mountain in Tibet even though you don't NEED international sporting events? hahahahaha

State vs State is for bogans and AFL, NRL meatheads mate.... We might like to play (and beat) Marconi , Olympic, APIA or whatever but Kinghts, Bergers and Preston we hate with a passion, no matter what city they live in.
