NPL 2026

The keeper went for the ball with his leg up in the air to contest the ball
The play followed throught and milked the penalty . The footage doesnt show want exactly happened . People at the venue can clearly see want happened big difference

Cant see us not getting relagated the current coaching staff have no idea

They look clueless and thinkil buying 10 new players wil save us from relagation in the transfer window

As for the aus championship even a few diehards who go to most games like me wont be attending until changes are made

Tsekenis and flea are pricks

On a serious note, what is the coach meant to do with that squad? Two coaches now and still can't get more consistently out of them.. have to look at the squad.

This might sound like a stupid question but what if he just, you know, resigns? Is he still banned if he coaches another club in Victoria?

17 weeks is a fkn joke

Football Victoria are an absolute joke for that
I reckon part of this is as a reflection of the backlash the Brunswick coach decision copped amongst many in Football Victoria.. ie "it wouldn't have been such a lengthy ban if the lino was a man"

I think 17 weeks is absolutely ridiculous for a verbal red card... as for coming onto the field, sure that was a littel dumb on Loza's behalf but Zisis is a peice of shit ref, every knows he hates ANYTHING remotely to do with Hellas - he once gave Esteban a red card for swearing 10 mins after the match had ended.

Just noting it would be for the coming on to the field, not the verbal red card. Suspension list (When it's updated) will probably differentiate the two on the same suspension (something like this - image below). Referee doesn't hand out the suspensions, just the cards - I see no issue with him issuing a red card over this, and he would have put in his red card report after the match that the offender (coach) entered the field of play to confront him (which is then - on paper - a second red card offence).

I started typing this before seeing the FV article on this - https://footballvictoria.com.au/news/fv-confirms-charges-issued-altona-magic-coach - and that essentially confirms the above. 2 match suspension for the red card shown, and the further 15 matches is for entering the field of play to confront an official. The article references the FV regulations relevant, etc - I'm just stating how it would be in the Laws of the Game that the referee would have had to refer to in their post-match report for the initial red card. Usually for things like that, the paperwork will only allow us to enter once, and also the fact that we can obviously only show 2 yellows + 1 red per player as a maximum, so any further offences after the red card is shown are just noted in the referee's report.

Sure mate, Yes it makes sense that the 15 week fine was for the "pitch invasion" although "additional 3 match suspension" escalated to 13 matched rather dramatically... I actually agreed that a red card was warranted, the coach was way out of line but the way its is treated week in week out is extremelyf avourbale to some clubs and coaches, even by the same referees.

Have you heard some other refs on the sidelines? Shit so clear on teh you-tube broadcasts Im suprised they aren't even demonitised every match.....

Nah this is a targeted.
Yeah its pretty mental some of the stuff you hear.

Yianni is yianni hes either gonna let everything go or the entire class is getting detention

Good point

Decided to track down the Disciplinary Regs for FV, and the 'by the book' suspension (no aggravating factors) lists the two offences as 16 + auto 1 match - so it all checks out.

Theoretically, they could have given more, as one of the offences available (but not charged with here) is specifically "Entering the field of play to confront a Match Official during a Match" which would have been an extra 3 matches.
