Marconi have never been much of a cup side. It's APIA that seems to thrive in that comp.

Noticed this in the broadcast, seemed like it carried on a bit further than initially intended. Very good player, and not to take a specific side but Stewart loves to stir the pot. Can be a bit cheeky at times, clearly a man not lacking in self confidenceI heard the APIA vs United game was not only heated on the field but off it too, sparked by Jack Stewarts goal celebration. Apparently, there was dramas after the full-time whistle.
I always thought it was becuase the poor players of other teams don't have anyone to run to when they score against us?I saw the 3 minute highlights of the match, and not sure why the APIA forward went straight to the Sydney Croatia fans to celebrate. We usually cop it when opposition teams score at Lakeside.

yep - and we see this kind of celebration world over a scorer going in front of the opposing fans.....Noticed this in the broadcast, seemed like carried on a bit further than initially expected. Another thing i found out which i couldn't believe, APIA had their juniors at the game which the club made compulsory, I am all for that. But, as soon as their half time game that the kids played in finished up, there was an exodus out the front door. None of the parents of the kids stayed around to watch the second half. You'd think they'd have a stronger attachment to the club than that.

Nothing wrong imo but it can cause angst amongst supporter groups and spikes the game up on the pitch as well.
Beretta - Sat eve pre mums day and all - maybe dinners etc but no big deal even though there is pressure by the club supporting the Snrs.
I have no issue on the Clubs directive, any club can/try to force this but we know it isn't followed - I see it that many today need a kick the arse - its not like the days of blinded devotion.
That wasn't card worthy might I add.
I see that everywhere in all divisions at most clubs.
Your last home was the juniors game on after United v Olympic men had played I believe.interesting, i didnt know that happened at all.
i guess we are lucky at our club, that doesn't happen.
correct - even at our lower level clubs they keep pushing to support Div1/Prem1 etcI see that everywhere in all divisions at most clubs.

Yeah our 20s also play after us, i think its been like that for years.
whats that got to do with people leaving during first grade though?
That they can't leave.![]()
Yeah, all good. I'm just taking the piss.
Also, re: Jack Stewart, didn't you guys have an initial confrontation with him at a home game at Edensor last season?
ALWAYS THE RUNNER UP....
