I in no way suggest they’re the same club, but I know of Italians who supported both
Over my years of going to Victory games and talking to the older supporters, many claim that Carlton, the nsl soccer team, died and came back to life in the form of Melbourne Victory.

There's even an old early days Carlton/Victory shirt I've seen some fans wear, although i don't know the history behind that shirt.

I don't know the full history myself, i don't know if Carlton is Victory, or if they merged, i got no idea, but apparently they do have ties together somehow.

Some of the older more knowledgeable fans might be able to shed some light on this.

Can we have a vote on whether @Brenton1986 posts from above are useful? I feel as though it may be too information heavy and a link to fixtures and standings is more beneficial. Let me know
@Brenton1986 is a 1 man NPL roundup ... if he had weekly highlights roundup aswell he could be a much needed NPL youtube segment ...

I personally love his consolidation work. I dont have to look up anything and it keeps me engaged with NPL leagues i wouldnt go out of my way to check (giving me a national picture), especially now with the championship spots allocations approaching.

Hats off and keep up the great work champ!

Pasquali, from my perspective I appreciate everything Brenton posts and Thanks alot to him.
I like glancing through all the results/ladders of all the NPL's in general interest as he currently posts.
I won't bother going to a link for eg.
Thanks to both of you.

Just another ex nsl team living in their past glory, thinking they are still a big relevant club. One down, few more to go. They'll probably get humbled as Preston did, in the lower leagues.

It was only a few weeks ago how you were saying Oakleigh is a small club with a small mentality and no money?

So why are you offering Bruno Fornaroil $40k Sign on fee & $100k for rest of the year, if you have no money.

He also rejected it.

That one handed save from the Oakleigh keeper in the 94th minute has probably relegated Knights.

Yep. Looked even more impressive in person.

There is dramas at Knights both on and off the field, between the old committee and new, with the finger pointing blame game at each other.

They need a reset. They will get relegated, and hope they can come back stronger.

when isn't there a drama involving them, frigging idiots, I actually have my eyes all over the place when there and walking back to the car.
That bloke came hunting, he ran with a ball in his hands long before pen was ready to take, - such a joke, 90+min mark 3-1 up and he wants to cause amuck after the pen scored.
Good we gave it to them.

You can suss it out from around the 2.19 mark

any truth to them wanting to attack the Referee after the game?

I can't say but not surprised if so, seen enough over the years and last couple.
Even during games with their lower grades is a hassle, U20's, just a pre season we were at and their coachs weren't happy with the refs how the game was going and then started giving bants to the (our) opposing subs, then more of their stupid support start congregating near the subs and the coach asking who wants to have a fight with him.
They are a prob, given the Championship needs a good start they sooner or later will cause headlines we don't need.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles are using there government grant of $1mill to good use.

Made 7 mid year signings.

Aleksandar Jovanovic - $3k per week
Josh Symons - $2k per week
Fumoto Kamada - $2.7k per week

too name a few, talk about relegation panic signings lol.
